I got my CX5 a few months ago through Financing. I opted to have a balloon payment or residual na 30% para mas magaan ang repayment. For those who do not know kung ano yong residual payment, it is just like a downpayment na by the end of the term mo pa babayaran. Parang late downpayment so hindi ito kasama sa computation ng interest mo, in effect mas low ang monthly amortization mo.

If you have a work, pwede zero downpayment. What I did is para hindi din mabigat pag dating ng end of term, you can set aside a budget for your residual separately. Just put it in your savings. Make sure you do not touch it for the whole duration of the term. Mag earn ito ng interest for the whole duration of the term then you can just withdraw it when you need to pay the residual na, say after 5 years. This way, mas makaka tipid ka.

Depending on your financing company, you can get a monthly amortization of about $150 with this set up.

Pang ikot ikot lang muna. then pag stable na kami chaka kami kukuha ng bago. Madami din bang 123 jan sa AU like sa pinas na madaming nakatagong sira yung oto pag 2nd hand binili? TIA

I got a 2nd hand car din... Mileage was 146K for a 2000 Honda Civic Hatchback automatic; so far ayus naman sya ang it is very fuel efficient (12.25km/litre) - for now this will do as priority namin mag-ipon for a house sometime in the future...

Swertihan lang din talaga ang pagbili ng 2nd hand car but it would greatly help if you buy from a reputable dealer lalo na if you are not too familiar with checking cars.

I bought it for $5600; all in na yun, the dealer paid for the transfer (worth $250 din yun) plus rego and CTP that is good until Feb 2014...

@tasburrfoot, nagtitingintingin na ko ngaun plang to see my options. lagi ko naeencounter yung "service history card" how will you know that the card is legit? what are the infos na andon sa card? can I verify there the milage? thanks! Im looking at less than 5k bsta umaandar, 😃😃

@kabayan yun nga yung problema ko tsong, di ako greasemonkey kaya wala masyado alam sa makina ng sasakyan. Kailangan ko pa magsama ng mekaniko pag bumili ng kotse. Kung ako lang mag isa, di na ako bibili sana, kaso kasama pamilya kaya kailangan.

date of servicing makikita mo sa service history card as well as the mileage when the servicing done. makikita mo rin ata kung meron man inayos.

seriously though, i would advise you to get your cars sa car dealer; mas better yung assurance mo than getting it from a private seller.

Noted on the car dealers. meron kc akong nababasa din na yung ibang car dealers daw magaling magrewind ng mileage ng odometers. So napapalabas nila na mas mababa yung mileage. Kaya ko natanong din yung service history cards say 🙂, kung legit ba cia and kung pano ko malaman na legit cia kc as I know, mababasa din dun yung mileage during servicing. So kung mapagtataly ko yung actual reading and yung service history readings more or less masabi ko na legit man lang. hehe. gsto ko din lang makasigurado at makamura hehehehehe 😃

@TasBurrfoot, actually hndi problema yung pagchecheck, car enthusiast yung fiance ko and he knows automotives. Ang problema yung pambili ng bago, that is after pa naman magrant yung visa. Its just better do our homeworks/research early than deal with it later. haha. salamat sir sa mga comments
