Am not sure if the rules have changed pero technically there is no conflict between applying for 482 and EOI.

1.) If your 482 is granted and then the EOI, you will still be applying for the proper permanent visa.

2.) If EOI is approved before 482, your 482 application will still be valid until you apply for the proper visa based on your EOI and wait for grant.

The only lookout on the second scenario is that, in case your proper visa based on EOI is granted before 482, you must cancel the 482 application immediately or risk having the permanent visa cancelled by the approval of the 482. This was my situation/predicament when I was applying for 457 (precursor to 482) before while at the same time lodged an EOI for 189 and 190.

Hi Good evening. I am under Student VISA and I am the student. May employer po na willing to sponsor sa akin as VISA 482 (Working VISA - Temporary Resident). I am an Electrical Engineer and a Project Manager in the Philippines for the last 10 years of my career back in the Philippines. The position they are offering is project admin/coordinator. Ang question ko lang po is if mag lodge ako ng 482 ngayon as project admin/coordinator which will be assessed by VETASSES, pwede pa po ba ako mag lodge as Electrical Engineer later on for VISA 190? Iniisip ko kasi kung mag expire na yung 482 ko later on eh walang pathway yung project admin/coordinator sa 190 since hindi ito part ng PMSOL. Thank you in advance po sa pwede mag advise.

Nag update na agent ko. After 1,354 yrs. LOL

Nomination palang yung nagawa nya. At hindi pa approved. GG. All along akala ko nagawa na nila nomination long before nag collect ako ng docs. Anywayyyy, waiting game pa rin.

i'm back, so yun, after xx days din kinontak na ako ng mara agent. may tanong lang ako. mas mabilis ata kau sumagot kaysa saknila :smiley:

Ung sa passport copy ba.. all pages... kasi di nakalagay sa list ko. (inemail ko na din sila, pero as usual wala pa reply)
ung sa CV.. may format ba dapat.. ano ang dapat. do's and don'ts

Hi po! good day po sainyong lahat.

Just want to check po about sa TSS 482 po.

Back story: May current employer po ako dito sa SG say company A. tapos po nagkaroon ako ng offer dito sa SG din say si Company B.

Nung time na mag reresign na po ako, na counter offer po ako and ang inoffer e irelocate nila ako sa office namen sa Au under 482.

Pa start na kasi sana ako kay Company B in 3 weeks time, okay din naman yung opportunity sakanya kasi step up sya for my career (sa IT po ako). kaso nung na counter offer ako + gusto ko kasi mag Australia talaga.

ang question ko po ay.

possible po ba na ma rekta visa 186 ako? provided may assessment and english exam?
if 186 is not an option, yung 482 po ba kaya legit po ba na 4 to 5 months ang whole process nya?
malaki po ba ang difference ng internal company transfer vs parang hired from SG?
lastly, yung sahod po kaya. since nasa SG ako, lesser po kasi tax dito although mataas ang cost of living and if ever po sa Sydney ako mapupunta. ano po sa tingin nyo yung good salary fo

Depende ito sa sponsoring employer mo kung i-186 ka nila agad.

Mukang ganito nga yung timeline nya. hindi lang naman 482, kasi halos lahat ng subclasses, matagal processing kasi kulang manpower currently ng DHA.

Hmm, almost the same lang naman yan. Same process yung pagdadaanan ng company mag sponsor in terms of the nomination and visa process, be it internal transfer or directly hired by another company.

lastly, yung sahod po kaya. since nasa SG ako, lesser po kasi tax dito although mataas ang cost of living and if ever po sa Sydney ako mapupunta. ano po sa tingin nyo yung good salary for a family of 3 na ako lang yung nagwowork.

Mataas ang tax sa AU. In terms of cost of living, halos same lang, kasi economy-wise, halos same lang ang SG at AU. With that, meron kang benchmark kahit pano yung net take home pay mo dapat.

kasi ang iniisip ko naman po. since aabutin naman ng 5 to 6 months (either 482 or 186). i-push ko nalang na 186 i-apply nila tapos pwd ko ba sabihin sakanila na ako nalang magbabayad ng processing fee? kasi ang alam ko medyo mahal sya. or stick nalang muna sa 482?

You paying the fees is technically illegal. Haha. DHA is not encouraging that. Any sponsoring AU company must be aware of the costs, and they must shoulder that alone.

Ikaw bahala kung gusto mo open up sa kanila kung ok sa kanila na 186 na lang. It's still their decision at the end of the day.

Pero ako, personally, I won't even try asking for 186. Given that they already assured me of 482, that's good enough for me. Because I guess 186 is too much to ask, besides ayoko rin magkaron ng sobrang bond sa isang employer lang. Ako lang naman ito haha.

pwede din namang mag entry ka sa Aus via the 482 visa, work for some time (say, 1 year), then have your skills assessed by an assessing body sa profession mo (like ANMAC for nurses), then take an english proficiency test, and apply for a permanent visa. 🙂

If there is an option for 186, go for it. Doble gastos po kasi kung mag 482 ka pa then 186. Hindi ka din sigurado kung willing pa ba silang magsponsor ng 186 after sometime. Atleast for 186, eligible ka na for healthcare and free education for your kids. Speaking from my experience po, I was offered 482 na mas mabilis or 186 na willing to wait, I chose the DE pathway - may work pa naman ako dito sa Pinas kaya no need to rush.

Hi! Sa experience nyo, how long did it take na masubmit yung medical exam results nyo to immi? 1 week na mula nung nagpamedical kami pero wala paring update. Sabi magsend daw ng email notif yung IOM Manila na nasend na nila results pero no email received kami. Normal bang matagal ang results ng medical?

Hi! mga at least 2 weeks. Followed up with the clinic din dito sa Cebu, pero at that time (Feb 2022) medyo maraming mga backlogs sa medicals kaya natagalan. Check mo din immi account mo daily baka may updates.
