Hi Jimbob 🙂

1) Yes po. If 176 ang aapplyan mo, dapat meron ka ng state sponsorship kasi isusubmit mo yun sa DIAC.

Then to answer your questions number 2 to 5. I believe nacoconfused ka lang sa term na assess and lodge. Yung term na "lodge" is the common term used na ibig sabihin is mag-submit or mag-send ka ng requirements so that you will be "assessed". Both terms are used by EA and DIAC. 🙂 And kapag sinabing lodge, kasama na dun ang payment. Magkaiba payment sa EA and iba din payment sa DIAC.

Eto yung steps that we followed nung nag-lodge kami sa DIAC ng requirements.

1) I checked kung yung course or skills ko is included sa Skilled Occupation List ng DIAC. My engineering course is listed and Engineers Australia (EA) ang assessment body tas inaral ko requirements ng EA.

2) I gathered my school records like diploma and TOR and nanghingi na din ako ng mga employment reference letters sa companies na napasukan ko.

3) I reviewed and took IELTS exam.

4) I prepared my CDR

5) Nun complete na requirements ko, nag-lodge or sinubmit ko na sya sa EA para ma-assess na nila ako. Last Feb 2011 yun and that time through courier or post ang pagsubmit ng requirements. Not sure if pwede na online ngayon.

6) June 2011, dumating results ng EA and sa awa ng Diyos pasado naman ako.

7) This time, ang kinumpleto ko naman is DIAC requirements. Konti na lang yun kaya mabilis ko na nakumpleto. Nung kumpleto na, ni-lodge na namin sya online sa DIAC site para maassess naman nila if na-meet namin ang requirements para mabigyan ng visa.

I hope this will guide you para hindi ka po maguluhan. Don't worry, ganyan din ako nung una. Hehe! Litong-lito sa dami ng information and paulit-ulit ako nagbasa ng mga booklets and forums. 🙂 Tanong-tanong ka lang and we'll answer your questions to the best of our knowledge. I hope na-download mo na din Booklet 6 (General Skilled Migration) ng DIAC. Napakalaking tulong din ang pagbabasa nun.

175 po ang visa na inaaplyan namin. So if 176 ka, kelangan mo din aralin requirements nun state na gusto mo magsponsor sayo. 🙂

Kumusta po. Itatanong ko lang sana kung anong klaseng IELTS ang nire-require ng EA? General po ba or Academic? Di po yata kasi nakasaad sa EA booklet kung ano required. Thanks po in advance!

@brent,,,yup it is general training,kasi sa akin b4 nag pa asses ako sa EA ay G.E rin ielts ko...if i remember right mayron yan sa EA,ang s bago (from JUly 11) parang nabasa kna na for english requirment refer to booklet 6 if i remember right..pakibasa uli page to page baka may nkal;igtaan ka..

@jimbo..sa aking opinyon useless din ang P.E summary kung walang cdr kailangang may cdr at PE statement para mpagbasehan mo....try mo sa fil.com.au mayron doon sample..i think sa russian engr mayron ...try sa

@jimbo, Dun po sa first post ko (page 1) may link ng sample CDR and summary statement. And, tama din si Sheep, kelangan may CDR ka muna kasi dun ka magrerefer para magawa mo summary statement mo. @JClem, thank you po. OK lang po ba na pa-assess ka muna bago exam ng IELTS? Kasama kc ang IELTS sa mga requirements. Pero may nabasa ako noon na sa assessment niya ay walang IELTS, sa DIAC na lang cya submit ng IELTS. Tama po ba? Salamat po ulit.

From my experience ielts muna bago asses,yung iba gumawa muna ng cdr at self study ng ielts,pag ok na rsults ng ielts,pasa agad ng assesment,,,but i think mauna talaga ang ielts...unahin mo muna ielts kasi mahirap dyan marami ang naharang if ok na..sunod sunod nyan...just positive lang....

Hello JClem, colored scan kc ang mga documents ko like diploma, TOR, PRC certification, PRCe license, etc. Confirm ko lang po kung di na need notarized (certified true copy) kc colored na ito. Nabasa ko sa ibang forum na pwede na daw na walang certified true copy basta ang copy mo is colored at copy ito from the original document.

@jimbob, IELTS po muna talaga bago ka mag-paassess. Ang advantage din kasi pag nauna IELTS is maga-gauge mo if nameet mo requirements ni EA for english language, which is at least 6 for all language skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking).

Sa DIAC po pwede colored scans ng documents, no need to notarized. Pero sa EA, pina-notarized pa din namin kasi wala ako maalala na sinabi nilang pwede ang colored copy of the original na walang notarization.

tama po,ang sa akin sa EA may mga pinanotarized ako,in diac pwede ang colored na walang notarized but if photocopy notarized talaga yan......

ask klang,6 parin ang required sa Ielts in EA..i thought 7 kasi halos lahat 7 na ang requuired..?

Check ko sa EA website, band 6 pa rin naman, di ko sure kung old na ito.

baka may link kayo stating na band 7 na and IELTS min score, paki share naman po.

All applicants applying to have their skills assessed by Engineers Australia are required to provide evidence of their English competency. Applicants are required to have achieved a minimum of Band 6 in each of the 4 modules of Reading, Writing, Listening & Speaking in either the general or academic modules of the IELTS.
