Question po. Nagsubmit na po ako ng EOI. May dapat po ba akong makuha na email confirmation na nakuha na nila EOI ko? Or will I just have to wait and pray for the invite? TIA

Hi,

just a few clarifications on my EA Assessment, I got a feedback from them yesterday stating:

"Based on the documentary evidence provided, you do not have the underpinning knowledge for an outcome of Electronics Engineer (ANZSCO Code 233411). However, there are two possible outcomes for your assessment.

Option 1

• An outcome of Electrical Engineer (ANZSCO Code 233311)

• Note your Relevant Skilled Employment will not be considered

• If you take this option, you will need to submit 2 new career episodes based on your academic projects that show how you demonstrated competency as an Electrical Engineer at the Professional Engineer level.

Option 2

• An outcome of Engineering Technologist (ANZSCO Code 233914)

• Your Relevant Skilled Employment may be considered

• If you take this option, you will need to revise or submit 2 new career episodes that show how you demonstrated competency at an Engineering Technologist level

• You will also need to submit a new summary statement using the Engineering Technologist template."

yung comments po nilagay sa CE 1 and CE 2 ko, does that mean na kung magrerevise man ako, it would be CE 1 and CE 2? And any suggestions po alin mas okay kunin na option?

hi guys, EA replied to my inquiry, it is possible pala to change my nominated occupation. However, I need to be re-assessed under CDR pathway pa din, I am planning to change my nominated occupation from ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGIES to TELECOMMUNICATIONS TECH OFFICER, ask lang po, pansin ko lang ung invites for TELECOM TECHNOLOGIST is not the same as TELCO ENGINEER, though same lang sila ng ceiling pero bakit kaya kokonti ung binibigyan ng invitation for TELCO TECH? Any idea po?

@hopeful_Z If ako yan I will go for 2nd option.. mas madali syang gawin... konti lang babaguhin mo...then as mentioned sa first option... d ma credit ung work experience mo under Electrical Engg which makakabawas sa overall points mo... 🙂>-

any reasons po bakit mo papalitan? tapos na ba assessment ng EA? me result na ba?

@mugsy27 , yes po, last year pa yung result, I actually applied for TELECOMMUNICATIONS ENGINEER pero since I dont have PRC license, they gave an option to apply for ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGIST. Kaya lang kasi, 700 lang ung occupation ceiling ng 2339 , kaya I am thinking to change nalang to TELECOM TECH SPECIALIST, pero weighing pa ko if better option to.

@mugsy27 Thanks po! But my worry with Engg Tech is 75 yung minimum ngayon and mukang malaki po yung backlog. Pero for EE masstuck ako sa 65 pero 65 lang yung minimum nila and non-pro rata sila.. Hirap po magdecide pala. Hehe

@hopeful_Z , I feel you. hehe, consider mo din pala na ung Engineering Technologist is under 2339 (Other Engineering Professionals), which has 700 occupational ceiling. Under 2339 included pa yung Aeronautical Engineers, Agricultural Engineers, Biomedical Engineers, Environmental Engineers and Naval Architects (Aus) / Marine Designers (NZ).

Kaya mataas pro rata. This is the reason kaya gusto ko magchange ng nominated occupation.

@Krisian Haha yun nga po eh, kaya di pa din ako makadecide ngayon.. Either isacrifice ko yung work exp ko which is 4 years pa lang naman so 5 points dn sya or makipagsapalaran sa Engg Tech.. Hehe.

ohh i see.. d nako updated sa mga pro rata heheh.. another thing kung mag EE ka i re-do mo buong CDR mo db?

Ask ko na din pala guys, is anyone here po na na-consider as professional engineer by EA by having lang na 8 years of experience? May kakilala kasi ako na even that he is not a licensed ECE, considered siya as professional engineer kasi 10 years na work experience nya.

@mugsy27 yessir pero ung sa Engg Tech, pwede daw irevise or magsubmit ako ng bago according kay Assessor kaso di ko alam ano specific ang irerevise pa dun. Kaya mejo naguguluhan po ako.

@Krisian , sa akin hindi ako na considered as professional kahit more than 10 years na experience ko.

Hi @Krisian @galf10333 , it's not about the number of years of experience para maconsider as a professional engineer. kailangan mo idemonstrate through your CDR (and detailed in your career episodes) na nameet mo yung competencies na dinefine ni EA for a professional engineer (na makikita mo rin sa summary statement). you can use either yung education or yung work experience mo for your career episodes. This means na kahit licensed engineer ka sa pinas (and anywhere else na required magprovide ng CDR for that matter) and engineer din yung title/position mo in your work, but defined yung work experience mo as an engineering technologist and not as a professional engineer ni EA, then engineering technologist ang iassess nya sayo.

Pero just to add, yung EA assessment is for migration visa requirements only, from what I've read here dito sa forums, sa cv and experience mo pa rin naman titingin ang employers once magapply ka na ng work sa Au (feel free correct me if I'm wrong here since wala pa ako sa Au 🙂 )

thanks @adamwarlock , during my assessment EA told me na needed daw PRC document to qualify for professional engineer, else they would assess me as Eng Tech. Early last year pa yung assessment ko actually, so I agreed to be assessed as Eng Tech since 7years palang ako sa company. Same period ng assessment ko, yung workmate ko with 10years of experience was assessed as professional engineer, wala din siya prc license.
