Hi po sa lahat,

Magtatanong lang po sana ako, if ipapa-assess ko po ba is as Electronics Engineer, nasa MSA booklet kasi na " Registration certificate under the relevant licensing authority where applicable (e.g. Philippine Regulations Commission) " .

Ang tanong ko po, paano pag expired na yung license ko? D na kac needed dito sa Singapore ang license kaya d ko ka narenew matagal na. Hihingin ba nila yun to process the assessment?

@RobertLawrence kapatid if meron ka naman na, iparenew mo nalang para mas sure ka na you’re following the required supporting docs.

@RobertLawrence kung irerenew mo merong iecep sg chapter search mo sa fb..hindi ako nagpaassess ng Electronics Engineer, pero ang pinasa ko dati sa ACS yung certificate (yung parang diploma) na registered engineer ka. Expired na din ID ko nun since hindi nagagamit dito. Antay din tayo sa iba pang nakaexp.

Thank you po sa mga comments ninyo. Mahirap irenew license ko kasi d ako nakaabot sa CPD points which is ang mahal2x per seminar... nagtanong-tanong din ako, pwede din daw mag-paassess as Engineering Technologists kac mas fit din kac sa Job Description ko ngaun. Hindi daw kelangan ng PRC license sabi ng dalawang resource person ko..

@von1xx , yan ba yung sa oath taking binibigay? Parang wala akong natanggap na ganito dati ah.

Pero pag nawala daw pwede magrequest ng bago.

@RobertLawrence magpasa ka na lang, let say successfully assess ka nga as Eng Tech, paano naman yung sa Education mo? kung wala kang PRC baka ma-assess (most likely) yung Qualification (educational level) mo as Trade Qual o Diploma = 10 points lang yun, compara as Bachelor Degree na 15 points.

Fyi, dalawa ang inaassess ni EA - 1) yung occupation and 2) Qualification (kung equal xa sa Educ. Standard qualification ni Aus)

Napakalaking 5 points ang mawawala sayu kapag nagkataon.

isama ko na din yung dagdag sa mga ina-assess ni EA, 3) yung relevant experience o RSEA, most of the time helpful, keso may isolated case din naman na hinde hehehe

@VirGlySyl , may punto po kayo. Salamat sa impormasyon. Irerenew ko nalang pala yung PRC license ko pag-uwi this december. Nalaman ko rin pala na hindi kelangan ng CPD points pagworking ka abroad. Eto yung email ng PRC secretariat sa akin ngayon lang.

Registered Professional Electronics Engineers (PECE), Electronics Engineers (ECE) and Electronics Technicians (ECT) working overseas shall not be covered by the CPD requirement. Professionals working abroad shall not be covered by the CPD requirement during the period of their employment abroad, the required proof of the professional working overseas is valid Overseas Employment Contract (OEC) or valid Employment Contract duly approved by the POEA.

So pinakamagandang solusyon bago mag-launch ng Skills Assessment sa EA is magrenew nalang ng PRC license. At least bago gumastos ng malaki sigurado na complied lahat ng requirements.

@RobertLawrence pero kung nasa Secton 1 school ka naman, parang okay na ata kahit wala, di ko lang sure pero may nabasa akong ganun dito., pero sa mga suregurista, ginagawa na lang nila lahat ng posibleng pwedeng hingin.

@RobertLawrence good to know that they returned this policy. In 2017 when I renewed my license they required 45 points cpd good thing I attended AGMs I've been an OFW since 2013. If that's the case, better renew your license before submitting to EA..

@ahyen I think there is a catch here. Ewan ko lang ah if tama ba pagkaka-interpret ko. So kung ganito na hindi daw kelangan ng CPD points sabi ni PRC, meaning pwede humingi nga COGS sa IECEP by presenting OEC. Kac nasa requirement din nila ang CPD points eh.
