hi kremitz. wala pakong ticket, still looking for the cheapest hehehe... sa melbourne destination ko. im leaning towards PAL, last time i checked 19K sya 23kg + 7kg carryon baggage. pero tingin ko di enough ang baggage allowance. baka i DHL/LBC ko yung another 10-15kg. nag inquire ako sa LBC, 3K pag 10kg, 5K pag 15kg. i-check ko din mmya tigerair. kelan flight nyo? di ako masyado nkkpag check ng posts dito, busy sa work. 🙂

@loudandclear june7 ang flight n hubby. Bale mla to sg via tigerair then sg to sydney via scoot. Umm bka pwede knaman kumuha ng additional baggage alllowance. Though i compared with pal, mas mura n sa iom kung mga june ang flight. When ba alis mo? Nasa 26k with 40kg baggage allowance na.

@goreo hello po... just my two cents... sayang po yung visa nyo... baka mahirapan na po kayo to renew your visa pag natapos na yung effectivity ng current visa nyo... may residence requirement po kac cla... pag d nyo na.meet baka d na po kau tanggapin ulet... you may refer to the DIAC site for more info.

Hi @cchamyl , thanks! pero as i understood sa visa namin (subclass 175) is we are allowed to stay indefinitely basta nasa AU na kami before magexpire. And if ever we want to go out of AU, then we would need to apply for RRV (return residence visa) and that requires residence requirement. pero ang plan naman namin ay magstay talaga kami dun until pwede na kami mag-apply ng citizenship 😃 .

yes, this is correct..

i have a friend who settled in AU with only 2 months before their visa expiration...

ngaun 2 yrs na sila dito.. once they travelled outside of AU, they applied for RRV..

okay nmn daw.. bayad ka nga lang.. i think approx 300-500aud for RRV..

Hello pinoyau peepz. Ask ko lang po kung na-experience nyo na magdala ng prescription medicines sa AU? Talaga po bang up to 3 months supply lang ang pwede ipasok? At normally po ba saan ito dapat ilagay, sa check-in o hand carry luggage?

i'm now planning/researching the best way what to do with my bank accounts here. im thinking of withdrawing my money and buy AUD here in the Phils. So dala dala ko cold AUD cash on my flight to OZ. I've read from other threads na dapat not exceeding 10K AUD which i do not need to worry kase way below 10K AUD naman ang sakin. 😃. do you think this is the best thing to do? hindi ba nkktakot na may dalang pera?

i will keep my BPI accounts pala hindi ko sya icclose, this is what I will use kase on remitting money to Phils pag nasa OZ nako at may work na. madali kase online transactions sa BPI. what do u think mga nasa OZ na?

Bakit hindi nalang kayo mag open ng account sa oz thru NAB then transfer your money? ganun ginawa ko 🙂

@kremitz, online lang pag open pero im not sure kung pwede over-the-counter. pero ang alam ko pwede ka mag transfer over-the-counter kung may NAB sa pinas. naka-base kasi ako sa SG 😃

Online lang naman yung pag open ng account at within 24 hours or couple of days, mabibigay na sayo yung bank account details mo at pwede ka na din magtransfer ng funds anywhere in the world 🙂 may promo pa sila. check mo site nila http://www.nab.com.au/personal/accounts/savings-accounts/nab-isaver

last year nag open ako, 4% un interest for 4 months 🙂
