@kremitz di po kmi nag IOM kasi i find super expensive sila kahit inclusive pa additional 10kg.. masyado po mataas =( kaya direct book n lng kmi sa quantas with 30kg allowance

Provisional visa ba 457? Ako kasi 496 and nagpunta din ako CFO at naka attend nf seminar. Nung bigayan na ng passport bigla sabi ng trainor d daw pala dapat nag seminar kasi provisional visa. Ung mga OJT sa CFO hindi napansin ung visa ko. Pero OK naman din may mga info ako nakuha sa seminar.

Kelan punta mo dito s Melbourne? San kayo dito?

Ung mga docs, passport at visa grant hahanapin ng IO satin. Norm na ung terminal fee at travel tax kaya baon ka peso heheh. Sa IO dito Melbourne un din 2 lang. Oooppss bala jetstar airline mo be ready sa credit card hahanapin nila un s pinas airport :-)

Kararating ko lang yesterday dito sa melbourne. Dito ako nakareside ngaun sa room apartment ng partner ko at elsternwick. Eto hanap naman ng trabaho and wala akong gano idea paano maghahanap. Hehehe. Tama ka. Kahapon sa airport malaki kaba ko. Pero unusual lang ung nangyari skn. Pnkta ko lng ung passport at printed copy ng visa grant ko tpos tnnong ako ng io satin kung ano ggwin q d2. Ang sb q, additional aq ng same sex de facto partner ko holding a 457 visa. Tpos konting usap sila, then pinalagpas nako. Ung unusual dun eh hnd nako ngbayad ng travel tax. Tnnung ko nmn sa check in counter kung need q p mgbyad sbi nya ksma n dw sa plane ticket ko ung travel tax, which is hard to believe kc ang alam ko tlga hwlay un. Anyway, hinayaan ko na lang. Mas maganda n rn un hnd n ko ngbyad ng 1650 ata un. Pgdting q nmn melbourne, may konting inspection lng cla sa bagahe ko pero mabilis lng dn aq naka-pass. Overall, wla nmn aq gnu nging problem, thank God. This time ang challenge ko nlng eh to find a job para majustified ang pagstay ko d2. Right now, asa muna aq sa kinikita ng partner ko d2.

@lester_lugtu - for low cost carrier like jetstar, cebu pacific, tiger, etc. hindi kasama ang travel tax however sa mga legacy carrier pwede mangyari na kasama na ang travel tax sa ticket na binayaran mo.

ah ganun ba un sir. thanks sa info. at sa lahat ng magbabasa ng forum na to at least marami sila matututunan. pero sa experience ko, hnd nmn gnun khrap ang process after having a visa. need mo lang tlga maging firm sa lahat ng process na gagawin mo all the way.

@kremitz to be sure, make sure to check with the airline.. Especially kung hindi kasabay ng cc owner na ginamit sa pagbili ng ticket ang traveller..

as far as i know, hindi. you are allowed to carry a laptop bag aside from your handcarry bag/luggage.

Hi to all!

First post ko to though i've been reading posts here since 2012.

We've been granted PR visa last June 2012 pa and made initial entry to Sydney for a week last Sep 2012. Bumalik muna kami dito sa UAE to save more para sa aming "baon" but we have decided to do the Big move next year June 2015. I think may chance pa kami to save more baon kasi our visa will expire June 2017 pa but we think we would be a little older na and it could be that there will be more competition sa work by then.

This forum is really a big help to all of us and im glad that ang dami na natin dito.

I would be posting questions maybe next time. Wala pa kasi ako maisip na itatanong. 😃

question naman po about laptop. required ba na licensed ang OS? chinecheck po ba sa airport kung orig and OS, office, SQL, etc. yung mga naka install sa laptop. or yung mga pirated movies, mp3 lang ba chinecheck? thanks.
