Witness for Statutory Letter from SG

Hi, tanong lang ako sa mga galing SG. Currently, I',m in the process of collecting all the requirements for the ACS Skills Assessment. Nagrequest ako ng Experience Letter or Certificate of Employment from my current employer, but they told me that stating the Roles/Duties and responsibilities is against their company policy.. wala akong idea kung bakit..

If that's the case, probably kailangan kong magkaroon ng Statutory Letter with the sign of my manager or colleague and a witness. From their list of witnessess, wala akong idea kung saan ako maghahanap dito.

Is there anyone have the same scenario na nagprovide din ng Statutory Letter here in SG at saan kayo humanap ng witness na equivalent sa list nila?

But im still convincing my employer to include the roles/duties and responsibilities..

just bring your manager to any notary public sa sg. but, before doing that, make sure na naayos mo na ang statutory declaration layout mo according sa layout na accepted nung notary public na pupuntahan mo. minsan kasi may kanya kanyang template sila e. pag ok na, saka mo ngayon dalhin yung manager mo to sign witnessed by them. 🙂

madami naman notary public sa sg...hanap ka lang. ako sa peninsula plaza pumunta dati. sa 8th floor. 🙂

@buchock - i Share ko yung lawyer dito sa SG na nagse certify true copy at nag witness ng Statutoty Declaration ko nung nagpa assess ako sa Vetassess:

Okay sya kasi mabait at guaranteed na palaging may sumasagot sa office nila kapag tumawag ka, which is very important in case mag verify ang assessing body na pagsa submit-an mo.

Yung sa Stat Declaration ko, ako lang ang nag compose. Isinulat ko na ang mga duties at Responsibilities ko sa loob ng Stat Declaration at reason why ako nag stat dec (di kasi alam ng boss ko na nag a apply ako ng migration). Mas ok yung sa iyo kasi pwede nilang i verify ang mga roles & responsibilities mo sa boss mo.

@GotoWaOZ - Salamat sa info.. Sige puntahan ko yung office muna or tawagan ko sila. Magkno ang fee nila nung time na nagpa-witness ka for Statutory Declaration?

But now im still negotiating/convincing my employer to provide me a COE with duties & responsibilities. Kinukulit ko pa rin sila even though sinabi nila skin kanina na againts sa company policy daw.... bkit kaya? yung sweldo naka-indicate which is mas confidential...

@buchock - $40 po ang Stat Declaration ... they follow a certain standard in their charges for certifying and Stat Declaration. She is also a member of the Singapore Law Society kaya credible.

You don't need to go to the law ofc prior to the statutory declaration. You just need to prepare the document but don't sign it kasi yung pag sign mo ang iwi witness ng lawyer. I used this :

•Commonwealth statutory declaration form [DOC 53KB] from the Attorney General's office of Australia: http://www.ag.gov.au/Publications/Pages/Statutorydeclarations.aspx

Sige, try to convince them pa din pero if talagang hindi pagbibigyan, ikaw nalang ang mag define (in detail) sa Statutory Declaration. Yung standard form above.

@GotoWaOZ - salamat po sa info pero based sa ACS (assessing body in my case) hindi pwede ang self stat dec, so kailangan ko talagang bitbitin ang boss ko dun.

basing from my experience and I hope it will not be the same case for you,wala namang problema ang notary office dito sa SG.ang biggest challenge is ang paghanap ng boss or colleague na sasama sayo sa notary office. but it depends also on the assessing body

baka tatanggap sila ng self-statutory

@gmad06 - yun na nga ang problema ko, nagpapagood-shot pa ako sa boss ko (singaporean) bago ako magsabi na bibitbitin ko sya para lang magsign..

Pasok kaya as witness ang pre-school teacher (pinay) dito sa SG?

sa list of Authorised Witness merong ganito,

"Teacher employed on a full-time basis at a school or tertiary education institution"

@buchock : hmmm...di ko sure kung pwede ang teacher pag outside Australia e. para sure, sa notary public nyo na lang dalhin. suggestion ko lang lang naman ito. 🙂

@buchock may nakalagay na yung mag wi witness sa stat dec MUST have a connection with Australia , i agree kay Sir @hotshot...safer kung Notary Public ang witness dto sa SG

yung stat declatory ko ko pirma ko lang at si atty ee wala ng iba. mali ba ginawa ko hahaha

@vhoythoy : depende kasi sa nagaassess kung pwede ang self stat dec e. for my case (ACS), di tinanggap ang self stat dec nung assessor ko.

@hotshot - yung kasama ko dito ACS din assessor nya at ang stat dec nya sa pinas e full time Elementary Teacher and witness, so far Suitable naman result nya last month. Siguro yung witnessess outside australia e equivalent except siguro yung mga may commonwealth description.

Humahanap lang ako ng alternative way in case ayaw sumama ng boss ko.. hehehe

@GoToWaOZ, i'm also in the process of preparing my docs for assessment. been following this thread and thanks sa mga shinare mo. follow-up question lang did you have to bring your supervisor along to sign the declaration? medyo nalilito lang kasi ang intindi ko sa VETASSESS SRG1 Explanatory Notes Appendix C ay mention lang naman ang kailangan c/w his position and contact no. so di na sya kailangan magsign sa declaration. tama po ba?

Ako halo2. Stat declaration, generic coe, contract, iras, pati email thread ko na humihingicng detailed coe. Bahala na vetassess let see hehe

Question po, meron po akong COE for my work sa pinas na sarado na.. pero Job Title at Duration lang nakalagay. Pwede po na gumawa ako ng Stat Dec tapos attach ko ung COE and email nung dati kong Director about my job description?
