okay...to set things straight,

i had my DKT last friday at ryde RTA. when i submitted all my dox, lady asked me since when i've been driving.

me: would u have in any way get to find out from my license since when i've been driving?

lady: no.

just because i did not want to waste her time finding out or engage her in a "lecture" how to find out, i instead brought out my LTO cert that says all my details & added to that "HOLDER OF LIC SINCE: 19kopong-kopong."

if i were u guys u better bring an LTO cert para wala na lang maraming kyaw-kyaw. P100 lang naman sa LTO main office, east ave & only 2 days processing. ung mga nasa provinces, ask ur sub agencies how to. i had mine requested last week, monday; uploaded to me & printed out wednesay PM, bingo!

btw, since gaya-gaya ako kay @jaero, heheheh! perfect! sisiw lang. of course, that was coupled with reading the handbook seriously & online practice exam. for me not to get mixed-up w/ street signs & paikot-ikot, paulit-ulit & some tricky questions, keywords ang formula.

soon to practice the RHD & practical test. sana malusutan ko lahat.

question, how did you request for the certificate from LTO? you said online/uploaded to you?

@lock_code2004, thank u po. like what i posted earlier, i asked my sister to go to my LTO district office pero she was instructed to go to LTO main ofc, east ave, QC. actually, before i left for AU, i left behind an authorization letter & govt IDs for her in case i need something from the bank, BIR, pagibig, etc. ok back, i scanned/uploaded my license card & receipt kasi requested ng LTO main. she had it printed & proceeded to LTO main submitting my

1) license/receipt downloaded copy

2) photocopy of my authorization letter(she showed the original)

3) 100 pesoses

she was asked to go back 2 days later. she uploaded/emailed & i printed it. ewan ba naman sa printer bakit ayaw mag colour print kaya B/W. at any rate, the same copy na rin ang sinabmit ko. maghanap man ang RTA ng coloured i knew i can easily open my yahoo mail & show it. pero hindi na ako hinanapan ng coloured copy. walang naging argument & hindi naging mabusisi. smooth naman ang submission ko ng dox. ang akala ko lang para silang DIAC na lahat kailangan coloured scanned copies. nanigurado lang ako.

so there u go. re authorization letter, if u make one, make sure u sign in blue ink para wala na rin question on its authenticity (for the coloured ink kasi). about ur ID, payag naman siguro LTO kung photocopy lang. wala naman risk siguro sa intention.

Nagtanong ako sa isang driving school dito sa Fitzroy sinisingil ako ng $45 for every 45 minute session. $205 for 5 sessions. Sounds fair?

Hmmm sakin po $45 / hour. Weird naman ginawa pa niya 45 minutes. Bago pa kasi kayo makapunta sa practice site niyo, 5-10 mins na. Tapos yun pauwi kasama din dun sa oras na binabayadan so medyo bitin yan. Kaya niya ginawang 5 sessions. Kung tutuusin kaya ng 3 sessions yan if $45 / hour / session. Ngaun lang ako nakadinig ng 45 minute sessions sa driving.

@Bryann thanks, hmmm...siguro dapat ang gumawa nyan gov't to gov't na. kumbaga, ang DOTC-LTO na ang gumawa ng trabajo para sa advisory sa RMS (RTA) about the licensing. parang sa japan embassy & immigration, alam bale nila ang kalakaran ng mga gov't dox sa PH.

@Bryann May one-hour sessions pero mas mahal. Upon asking around, nakahanap ako ng 38$ for 45-minute sessions.

Matagal BA ang waiting period ng driving test sa Melb? Napaisip tuloy ako n kunin ko na Yung knowledge test kaagad then driving lesson habang wait for driving test.

Oo nga po, maganda idea yan. Although siguro I doubt it if i-prioritize nila ito, sadly.

Not sure lang po about Melby, pero sa tingin ko po madali lang naman magpa-sched ng driving test. Ang challenge lang is getting the time slot that you want.

hi bryan, ngyon lng ako ng sign up... 🙂 i am also looking for a Filo driving instructor. bumagsak ako ng unang take ko... tsk tsk.. ang fail item ko, overspeeding, 4x at marami pang iba.

anyhow, baka nsa yo pa ang contact details nun kilala mo instructor..

parng gusto ko aral ulit.. no choice kasi. di ako makabili ng sskyan rito kasi la mgdadrive. hahaha.

and here in syd, owning a car is not really luxury unlike sa pinas, necessity talaga. hirap mg-abang ng bus at mkisabay palagi. dyahi na to the highest level. Di naman ako pwde magbike pg malayuan. 🙂

well, well. well. so much for the drama. . i just need to give it another go. hopefully this time, makalusot ako..while my self confidence is still intact. 🙂

Yun instructor ko Indian, and then limited lang yun pagtuturo niya within Blacktown/North West/Hills District area. Banda dito ka ba? L Safe driving yun name nun school, try mo google. If hindi mo makita let me know, and if interested ka pa. Baka kasi malayo location mo. 🙂
