@crankygrinch We will fly to Melbourne after our quarantine. Last time I checked - There are no restrictions to enter Victoria and all just need to observe the lockdown rules on their movement. No double quarantine. There are also relaxed rules for those moving homes. So far, there are SYD-MEL flights.

I always treat the Victoria lockdown separately from interstate restriction of movements. As worst hit, Victoria does not restrict entry and exit to other states. It is the other way around.

@Miki @draper 10 hours layover sa HongKong. Those hours went fast :smiley: Some food stalls are open good enough for the few travellers there. Starbucks is open.

Send your request for waiver fee through quarantinefee@revenue.nsw.gov.au. Attach evidences of cancellations and rebooking. They may ask again for those docs, as with our experience. No final disposition yet for our request as of writing.

We haven't booked our MEL flight. NSW offers two-night free accommodation (food and other costs not included) after quarantine - if you book your onward flight exclusively through a designated travel agency. It will be in a separate hotel.

Hi @wintergreen . We're in a two-bedroom suite with balcony in Meriton Suites, Suzzex St., Sydney. It appears for families lang dito. Families lang din kasabay namin sa bus from airport. The other bus/es went to other directions.

The suite is like a typical apartment unit. All amenities meron - kitchen with oven, dishwasher, coffemaker (capsules), washer and dryer,two T&B, TV in the living room and bedrooms. From what I read, NSW offers the best accommodations for families in quarantine. I can now attest to that 🙂

Possibly, apartment-type if family of four. There were mother-child and a family of three with us in the bus - but I don't know their type of accommodation.

So far, no update yet on quarantine fee waiver 🙂

@zirko hi!! Jan din kami galing sa Meriton Sussex!! Ang ganda jan! Super staycation talaga! Ambilis din ng guest desk nila sa mga kailangan. Pwde kayo padeliver sa Woolies pag may need kyo esp sa mga kids at mga personal needs din.

May mga single din na nadala jan kasi madami kami nakasabay na tag iisang tao lang. Depende siguro sa kung saang bus kyo pinasakay.

Nagemail na kyo sa NsW revenue? Medyo matagal sya mag reply, 10 days bagi nag reply sa email ko. Nakalabas na kmi last week, kahapon lang na waive ang aming hotel payment.

@lecia Noong natapos quarantine ninyo and checkout na, hindi muna kayo pinabayad dahil waiting pa ma-waive yung fee?

Oo walang bayad, icheck lang ang passport then go na..Kung meron man babayaran isend ang bill sa address at pag di kaya barayan in one month, pwde staggered payment, may terms naman sila.

Naku wag po masyado madami luggage lalo pag may kids. Kami hirap kahit tag isang luggage lang. Ang mga defense personnel lang pwde magbuhat, mga staff sa hotel at mga uber rides, di ata sila pwde mag touch ng luggage, alam mo na dahil sa situation ngyon.

Ask ko lng po kng sino po ang mag big move sa Melbourne from Pinas nxt month? I understand until Oct 24 pa mgbubukas ang intl flights sa Melb airport. What can you advise regarding our current situation? We've been trying to pursue our big move since March 2020 and due to lockdown in the Phils and now in Melb we rebooked our flights from one airline to another and still with no luck. We're looking for other options but Cathay Pacific, where we booked our flight from Manila to Melb told us that they don't have available flights anymore even from Mnl to Sydney not until Oct 25 because we were thinking of rerouting our flight to Sydney since Melb is closed.

@wintergreen Yes, we packed 2 balikbayan boxes - less than 30 kgs each - then the rest usual luggage bags. Correct si @lecia, defense personnel handle ng baggage - loading to bus at the airport and unloading to lobby hotel.

Hi. Pag natapos mo yung quarantine wla ka naman babayaran pa talaga. Isend nila ang fee sa address na binigay mo. Sa NsW revenue iimail mo ang proof of payment at itinerary ng flight details, sila na mag verify nun sa airlines. Nakabili kami ng tickets prior sa cut off nila, so waived ang hotel payment. Pero tagal din nila nagreply samin, after 10 days pa at nakalabas na kmi. Baka sobrang busy at nagkataon lang siguro.

Tig-isa pa rin po. Ang pwede lang ata pagsamahin ay yung courier fee (kung same address naman po kayo).

Meron kami. Hindi pa asset tested ngayon, ireresume palang ata next month.
