How much initial money required to Settle down in down under

Hello mga ka berks na nag start na ng life sa Aussie, how much money you initially spent (house rental/deposit, car, misc) for the first 2 months? Thanks

sa amin 15K, kasali na first month rent for 4beds/2baths/2car spaces (plus a 2K rent bond- requirement ito sa lahat ng rentals), tsikot (mitusbishi magna 2004- B-) ), pinambili ng mga furnitures/appliances/miscellaneous- kasi hindi furnished ung bahay, then one month na gastusin. Pero kung wala pa akong job before kami pumunta dito noon, we would have taken atleast AUD30K with us just to have some spare in case matagalan bago ako makahanap ng work. Monthly expenses namin ngaung medyo settled na kami goes up around 3k per month, included na lahat from groceries, internet, kuryente, water, fuel etc etc. Kung may bisyo ka siguro, add an additional 300-500 depending on how much you spend for alcohol/cigarette [-X

Back to topic., bring minimum 10k or bring more money as much as you can. Mahirap magsimula dito mahal lahat. Sydney is the most expensive city. Ma shock ka sa mga prices dito although halos lahat made in china.

cguru maki-share muna kame ni misis ng flat kc sobrang makakatipid ka kapag mag-uumpisa ka. In SA meron mga 150AUD per week isang room.

Naisip isip ko kasi kung lalakarin ko ung 550kms mula perth e malalate na ako sa trabaho 😛

Dito kasi kami sa outback nakatira kasi dito ang job ko so need ng car, unless pwede sakyan mga kangaroo sana <)🙂 besides kahit nasa city ka nakatira e kailangan mo rin talaga ng sasakyan- bili groceries etc. unless ung bahay mo e katabi ng train station at pagbaba mo sa kabilang istasyon e woolies o coles na! $2500 for a car is pretty good, it can take you to the land of no return :-)) , pero seriously ok na ang car sa ganyang value. :-bd

no worries mate. maganda ang car maintenance dito compared sa atin and the roads are way better than back in the phils. gulong lang talaga nawewear out dito, not so much with other parts, unless you have a 4x4 and always driving off road <)🙂 then that's a different tale :-j

You can use your PH license for 3 months for PR like Visa's for Employee sponsored i think its indefinite

unless there had been changes in the last 3 years, as far as I know ang pagibig contributions lang ang pede mo iwithdraw not SSS. just bring your visa and the required form and it takes about a month ata before you can get the cheque.

Tomo, you'll have to convert your Phil license to an Oz one within that 3-month period. You have to complete an exam and then an actual driving test. Make sure you read the driver's guide booklet available on the website of whatever state you're going to (some states have different rules) What I found out is that it is so much easier to get a license in the country side than in the cities :-bd Hindi sila strict as compared to those in the cities. I have two friends who have been driving in the Phils for more than 10 years but they had to take the actual driving test in Perth 3 times before they passed! >🙂 But it only took me once to pass the test in the country side 🙂) cheers 😃

I agree with this in NSW meron mga RTA office na i totlerate yung mga small errors mo

$20 per day for food and fare, $150 per week din (15 minutes from workplace lang ang bahay)
