Hi @hhm9067! Ano po ung “pre-filled return from ATO”? Wla pa po kame Neto. Pano po namin cya makukuha? Thank you again po 🙏🏼
Every end of FY, yung "pre-filled return" na tinatawag ay nanggagaling sa lahat ng sources of income mo for the past year, including your employment, interests earned from your bank account/s and all other pre-determined sources.
Need nyo declare rin if you've had any income from other sources that could not be pre-determined. For example, meron kayong property na pinaparentahan or investments that gained value - that income must be taxed.
The ATO will gather all those info, pre-filled data plus the ones you've declared, when lodging your tax return to determine whether you have a tax refund (excess) or liability (missing) that you need to settle.
Ngayon, kung wala talaga kayong income for the past year, you dont need to lodge any tax return by filing a non-lodgment notice online sa ATO rin mismo through myGov, there is an option for it.
But I believe for the purpose of getting a NOA, you need to lodge your tax return kahit hindi employed as also previously mentioned by @hhm9067
My wife is in a similar position, she has no work, but she has a TFN linked to her ATO account in myGov. Though, she opted for the non-lodgment notice and had no NOA generated for her.
