SuperProxy ang alam ko po, hindi po kailangan ng OEC (OFW Pass) ang BVA / Bridging Visa B holder — including those who came from a student visa — kasi hindi po sila considered OFW.
Ang OEC is only for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs)
Meaning: kailangan mo lang ng OEC kung employed ka abroad under an overseas employment contract registered with POEA/DMW.
Kung naka-Bridging Visa ka (A or B), including galing student visa, hindi ka classified as OFW, because wala kang overseas employment contract, kaya hindi ka hahanapan ng OEC.
Even sa airport, ang hahanapin lang usually:
- Valid Bridging Visa B travel grant
- Valid Australian passport/PH passport
- Return ticket
- Supporting docs (if needed): enrolment, employment contract in AU, grant notice, etc.
Maraming members sa fb groups already shared na nakauwi/naka-balik using BVB and never hiningan ng OEC either sa PH immigration or AU immigration.
Kung mag-tratrabaho ka sa Pilipinas habang naka-BV, ibang rules na yun.
Pero kung uuwi ka lang and babalik sa Australia to continue your visa process, no OEC needed.
Disclaimer: This information is based on publicly available guidelines from DMW and the general experiences of AU visa holders nakita ko sa FB. Please double-check with DMW or POEA if your personal situation involves active employment in the Philippines or abroad.
