better lean on the side of caution kahit online or remote studies, the school or uni should be based on regional areas. Im based in darwin before during my 491 visa. Then nung na-approve na yung 191 PR ko, tsaka ako nag enrol sa University of Queensland sa Brisbane regarding their online program, good thing commonwealth supported yung program kaya almost 80% discount sa uni fees.

Feb 2020 - 491 offshore approval
march 2020 - arrived in darwin - live and work for 491 visa
March 2023 - apply for 191 PR
Oct 2023 - 191 PR approval
Oct 2024 - AU Citizenship application

I guess it doesn't matter na kung sino ang mag lodge for 191 between you and your spouse, as long as you both meet the 3-year regional requirements. And wala na din naman 'points' to consider pag nag apply ng 191. in theory, kahit nga di ka magwork while in 491 basta nag stay ka sa regional areas for 3 years. Depende na sa queuing processing yung 191 application, and not on points. I guess walang age limit sa 191 visa? as long as below 45 ka while on 491 visa? This is just my guess, better check online or speak with migration agent.
