Good day to all fellow engineers! First time to post here! Tanong ko po sana kung aling type ng assessment ang pinili ninyo when you applied Visa 189. Is it Standard Competency Demonstration Report - AUD 715 or Competency Demonstration Report + Relevant Skilled Employment Assessment - AUD 1,012? Malaki difference nila kaya iniisip ko kung pwede na ba yung CDR worth AUD 715 para makakuha tayo ng points sa skills at qualifications?

Lakasan ko na rin po loob ko na makahingi ng CDR for reference of EE/ECE. Wala pako IELTS pero nag babalak ako kumuha this year in preparation to the the assessment of Engineers Australia (EA). Thanks sa inyo at Mabuhay!

@Phiaus, in my case, nagpa-assess din ako for relavant overseas employmen... naisip ko lang na pangdagdag a credential ko baka makatulong in the future job hunting. Pero optional lang siya..

mga ilang months ba kayo before ma invite sa mga tapos na ng invitation?

@Phiaus The standard CDR assessment can get you 15points for your educational qualifications. The assessment of relevant employment can get you additional 5points at least. It all boils down to how you want to get the 60point requirement.

Okay thanks po sa lahat ng sumagot! Appreciate it. I thought at first na yung CDR is already an assessment for your skills (employment) and akala ko rin na yung education e hindi na ina-assess at need mo lang magpakita ng credentials like TOR at diploma para mabigyan ka nila ng 15 points (bachelor equivalent like BSEE/ECE). Yun pala need mo yun pareho ipa-assess to get points on both.

meron ba sa inyo dito na Electrical contractor na sa oz? accepted na ba kung EE ka or you need other certificates? thanks sa sasagot?

Hello po sa lahat, tanong ko lang, wala kasi ako mahanap na sagot sa mga forums. Kelangan ba may ielts (at least 6 band) na ako pag magpapasa ng CDR? Or pwedeng magpasa na ng CDR tapos to follow yung ielts after a month siguro? Wala kasi talaga ako ielts. Sa mga nababasa ko dito yung application history nila, submit CDR tapos nag IELTS.. Or dapat may ielts na kagad ako na ipapasa na kasama ng CDR? Salamat

Sang state will you recommend pagdating sa electrical building and site infrastructure design? Hndi ba mahirap ang application jan related sa experienced ko? Plano kc namin ng wifey ko to apply for PR. Gusto ko lang malaman ung chance ko to make sure. Salamat!

@Jie Booming ang construction/consulting industry all over Australia. Pero as in other trades, pinakamaraming opportunities sa Sydney & Melbourne.

@dominick How you will be qualified for electrical engineering job, may mga licenses pb na dapat kunin or short courses?

@Jie Additional qualifications will help but not necessary. You can get a job by just presenting your qualifications and work experience in the Philippines. Marami akong kilalang ganun ang ginawa, nagkatrabaho naman. 🙂
