@cchamyl 3 of my previos companies are already closed... I use statutory declarations to all of them... ako lang gumawa, pina-notaryo ko.... lahat naman yun tinangap ng ACS...

so hindi ko magets yung advise na lawyer friend mo na affidavit... hmmm... just wondering...

@icebreaker1928 : baka depende din sa notary public. sa akin din kasi sabi wala daw stat dec sa pinas as it's for commonwealth countries daw...so ang pwede lang daw nila notarize is affidavit. but if it worked for you, then i guess it's okay. baka depende na sa notary public talaga. 🙂

tama si @hotshot.... the term statutory declaration is for commonwealth countries only and one more important thing is that the statement has been signed and witness by someone who has a connection to Australia...

I'm quoting the example from the link above:

<b>"Witnessing Commonwealth statutory declarations overseas</b>

You are able to witness Commonwealth statutory declarations overseas if you:

fall within one of the categories on the list of authorised witnesses, and
have a connection to Australia.

For example:

A member of a police force in Australia may witness a Commonwealth statutory declaration overseas. However, a police officer of a foreign police force cannot witness a Commonwealth statutory declaration"

the next difference is that:

statutory declaration is signed by an authorized witness (as defined in the link above)
while an affidavit is signed and sworn in front of a notary/lawyer... this is why in the Philippines, we use this term to declare a statement...

@cchamyl : ano po ibig sbhin nyo? di ako gaano familiar sa skill select kasi di ko na naabutan yan e. hehehe. pero sa pagkakaalam ko (sa mga skill select peeps, correct me if i'm wrong)...sariling compute ng points yun e.

@cchamyl - you will see a summary of your total points sa skill select once you have finish filing out your EOI. basically, you will see your numbers just before your submit your EOI.

these points are derived of course from the data you have placed in your EOI... 🙂

@cchamyl - it could be after you press submit then... i remember reading about point summary on the other forum. nonetheless, you can still be able to just manually count it (1) age - max 30pts, (2) IELTS - max 20pts, (3) Work Experience, (4) Education and (5) if you apply for 190 - +5 agad yun with respect to 190 application...

@cchamyl: Hindi ko na maalala ng mabuti pero i-summarize nya points claimed mo bago mo ma-submit. Sabihin nya sayo kung ilang points ang kine-claim mo. Hope that helps.

@cchamyl : sorry sa previous reply ko. akala ko manual computation lang e...ganun kasi sa amin dati (before skillselect). so ayun, may summary of points claimed daw pala sa skillselect. 🙂

question lang po.. nacontact na po ako ng CO today.. naglodge po ako last june 30. Im currently residing in singapore ang question ko po is with regards to CoC here in sg. Nakita ko po sa requirements ng pagkuha ng CoC is:

Photocopy of document from relevant consulate/immigration authority/government bodies to establish that the certificate is required by such authority.

Irerequest po ba ito sa case officer or eto yung attached document 'Request for information - Detailed Information' sent by the CO? If eto po yung naka-attach na document, pano po ba yung sa defacto? kasi name ko lang po yung nakalagay sa document.

yung sa akin kasi (this is before skillselect) may separate attachment na specifically for Singapore COC request nung first time na nagsend ng email sa akin ang CO. parang "XXXXXXXXXX Singapore COC.pdf" ang filename. tapos sa document na to, nakalist both yung names namin ng wife ko. i guess you can just ask your CO for this document para makapag-request kayo ng COC dito sa SG. mabait naman sila at nagrereply kaagad. based on my experience nagrereply sila the following day.

konting tiis na lang...malapit na visa grant! 🙂
