Hi!!

This forum has been very helpful for us and I thought I'd like to return the favor by sharing our visa application process.

My partner is the main applicant and has included me in her 190 application. Same sex defacto. We are currently working in SG. Determination and perseverance paid off after 11 months!! Visa granted!!! woooohoooo!!! Nothing is impossible, u just have to believe!!

Aug 6, 2013 - Applied for Victoria SS

Aug 14/15 2013 - Victoria SS Approved/Lodged EOI (Visa 190) - 65pts

Oct 16, 2013 - NBI Fingerprinting at PH embassy in SG

Sept 12, 2013 - SkillSelect Visa 190 Invitation received

Sept 29, 2013 - Lodged Visa 190

Nov 5, 2013 - CO Allocated; GSM Adelaide Team 6;addt'l docs required: SG COC/NBI/Evidence of Health/Went for Medical (Shaw Centre)

Nov 6, 2013 - Applied for SG COC

Nov 8, 2013 - No health examinations are required

Nov 9,2013 - Collected NBI in Ermita Manila/Uploaded to eVisa

Nov 27,2013 - Collected SG COC/Uploaded to eVisa

Dec 02, 2013 - Visa Granted!!!! IED: 07 Nov 2014

wla pa for now… kakalabas p lng kc ng grant and we're still in the midst of planning kung kelan kme migrate dyan. Probably by Oct 2014 pa, I think. So we still have time para mag ipon and maghanap ng work.

What about you? since kelan ka pa nsa Victoria? Honestly medyo worried ung partner ko kc when she checked the job openings, sbe nya parang konti lng daw. Is that true?

@quackquack Hindi naman, madaming work dito sa Melbourne hwang lang masyadong pihikan sa umpisa and lalu na kung talagang in need yung specialize area mo. Ano ba yung line nung partner mo and you? Madami din mga headhunters I suggest na magmember sa mga agencies, kapag wala talaga magcasual casual muna hanggat makahanap ng permanent. Saan nyo balak dito sa Melbourne? may mga relatives or kakilala na kayo dito?

Mine too is a granted visa from a defacto same sex relationship. I jst provided affidavit from my two friends, and stat dec naman from his 2 friends in aussie na lahat sila knows ang relationship namin. Hnd nako ngpagawa from my family kasi hnd pa alam samin o sa pamilya nya.

Need ng financial evidence, joint bank account is very strong. Pero hnd kmi nka-acquire nun kc nand2 n sya nun at aq nsa pinas pa, pucha nilapitan ko halos lahat ng bangko makiusap lng ayaw tlga. Well, ung remittance receipt ng pnddala nya skn ang nging financial evidence ko. With pictures, kht ilang kaya mo gawin. Basta pagsamahin mo sa isang document lang then lagyan mo ng caption. At oo ngpgwa dn aq ng affidavit about our same sex relationship, db ang hirap nun sa pagpapanotaryo. Jijiji. Sya nmn stat dec.

Tanong lang po sa cost ng visa sa mga nakapag lodge na including their spouse and dependent child for visa 189. Nabasa ko po sa immigration site ung cost: http://www.immi.gov.au/Visas/Pages/189.aspx Sa akin pong pagkakaintindi at pagbabasa eto po ang cost ng visa for me, my wife and one dependent child:

Me as Principal Applicant: $3520

Wife: $1760

1 Dependent child: $880

Ang tanong ko lang po is ung nakalagay po duon na Second Instalment na may additional $4885 if my wife for example does not have functional english. Ibig sabihin po na nuon para hindi na kami ma charge ng 2nd Instalment na $4485, kelangan mag take din ng IELTS ang aking wife? Salamat po.

Hi Andrew,

Sorry for the late reply. Yes tama ang pagkakaintindi mo. Wife has to take ielts and she has to have a band score of 4.5 if I'm not wrong. I took ielts and it was also lodged in my application. There is however another alternative, wife can ask her school for a certificate stating that the subjects taken where taught in english. Check this link for more details:

there are 6 statements na pinasa ko:

affidavit from me stating history of our relationship.
affidavit from friend1 about our relationship.
affidavit from friend2 about our relationship.
stat dec from my partner stating history of our relationship.
stat dec from friend3 about our relationship.
stat dec from friend4 about our relationship.

remember stat dec won't work kung gagawin mo sa Phils since hindi naman legal sa Pilipinas ang stat dec. pang-aussie lang ang stat dec form. affidavit is the right term. go to the atty, ask nyo ung format ng affidavit. friend1&2 are from Phils and friend3&4 are from Aussie.

isulat nyo lang kung pano kayo nagkakilala, be specific sa dates and location and events dapat same kayo isusulat ng partner mo.

hindi nako humingi ng affidavit from our family since same-sex relationship ang samin and they don't know. 🙂
