Hello Doc! Currently I am reviewing for the professional exam din sana by March 2015. I am currently reading the following:

A Concise Review of Clinical Laboratory Science by Joel Hubbard
Henry's Clinical Diagnosis and Management by Laboratory Methods
Med Tech Books and Reviewers from the local MT Board Exam
Success in Clinical Lab Science by Ciulla (Q&A format)

I can see na you can do well naman siguro sa exam, based on the study guide from AIMS, short amswer questions kasi siya, mainly kasi disease correlation with laboratory results ang questions sa exam plus practical laboratory work ups like you also need to focus on troubleshooting on machines with regards sa quality control, quality assurance and lab math and management. I am basing this information sa sample questions found on their website.

Update mo kami dito Doc sa progress mo diyan.

Okay naman po yang set ng reviewers, I saw also the ad 🙂 yung kay Hubbard kasi is really concise pero complete naman, pero mas okay mag present ng topics yung Success ni Ciulla, plus it comes with a Q and A to test what you have learned, nagamit ko sa when I took my ASCP certification. Harmening is also good, pero textbook siya so medyo wordy and ang topics is scattered but you can have the blood bank topics covered sa Hubbard and Ciulla and also online sa bbguy.com, Gregorios is also a good reference sa Histopath, given yung mga review for CLS is hindi talaga routine na kasama ang cytology/histopath.

I have access to PDF copies (Hubbard and Ciulla) if you want them, PM mo lang ako 🙂 Then I have also a couple of local board exam reviewers for histopath, which I will be using instead of Gregorios. Btw, have you tried answering the sample questions from AIMS? 🙂

Thanks sa help Reinier. Meron akong photocopy na reviewer dito na ginamit ko dati sa AMT. kaso walang Histopath dun. Thanks sa mga sources and references.

Wala na akong masyadong matandaan. 6 yrs ago pa nung nag-AMT ako. Kelangan gisingin ang mga brain cells. Lolz

I didn't provide my credit card details. Nung nag-online payment ako, I printed the invoice. Sinama ko yung print out ng invoice. 🙂

Guys ask ko lang kung ano sa tingin niyo ang mas magandang gawin:

OPTION 1: Apply for SA State Sponsorship (visa subclass 190) on January kung magkaroon ng slot for MLT, proceed with State Sponsorship, and take the exam on March 2015

OPTION 2: Take the exam on March 2015, wait for the results on May 2015, and apply for Residency Visa (visa subclass 189).

Iniisip ko kse baka mawala sa SOL ung MLS, kaya susubukan ko sana mg-apply for State Sponsorship. Although sa tingin ko mas marami ang opportunities kung Residency Visa agad kse kahit saan pwede ako mag-apply.

@raspberry0707 depende yan sa priorities mo po. ako kasi grab na muna ung mlt state sponsorhip SA pra mkasama na baby ko. pero kung hindi k nmn nagmamadali, mag-exam k nlng muna ksi pg nkapasa, mas mdming options san pede punta.

Hi, just wanna ask po, I just recently graduated as MedTech in the philippines with no expirience yet,, I have permanent residency visa in Australia, meron bang way in order to work as Medical laboratory scientist or technician kahit walang working expirience? pwede ba akong mag take ng AIMS? right now Im reviewing for my ielts.
