@Dino from what I understand, there are accredited universities in Aus na after finishing this course, you are already assessed as a Medical Laboratory Scientist right away. This is a win win situation for you if you pursue the course in RMIT Melbourne kasi hindi mo na kailangang pagdaanan ang normal way na ginawa namin dito na first step paassess as Med Lab Technician and second step as Med Lab Scientist. Kasi you are considered as a Med Lab Scientist already according to the Australian standards.
Having said this, confirm mo din sa AIMS Australia at email mo sila kung ilang years ang course to be considered as Aus Medical Scientist-kung 2 years ba or 4 years. Sumasagot sila nyan sa email. ๐
email them at: aimsnat@aims.org.au
Now, punta naman tayo sa point system for migration. Kapag natapos mo ang course sa RMIT and it is considered a full course of 2 years, may added points ka nyan sa point system. Pakicheck ang point system sa DIAC kasi may rule doon na dapat within 2 years YATA (this Im not sure so please check) dapat natapos mo yung course for you to have an added mark sa point system. Kasi kapag 7 years na ang lapse since the time you finished the course, wala nang points yan.
sa basa ko sa post mo, 1 year pa lang ang work experience mo. Please take note na kailangan at least 3 years working experience para magkaroon ng points sa immigration point system. This is just me ha, I would probably add 2 years of work experience in Pinas first then take the RMIT course in Melbourne na. So I have work experience na and at the same time Im already assessed as a Med Lab Scientist.
OR straightaway student visa then apply for migration. Etong pathway na eto I dont know pero naririnig ko din sa mga sisters ko na may visa na from student ay nagiging immigrant na.
Please also take note na migration especially our skill Medical Laboratory Scientist can change in the next years. Just early this year, we were hanging by the thread na baka wala na sa skill occupation list ang Med Lab Scientist sa SOL or Skilled occupation list. Not to cause panic but for your awareness na rin.
I feel you have the means to migrate to Australia, you just have to research the path of least resistance. best of luck!
