I really need your help in applying for visa

Is the test result sent by the AIMS is enough to send to DIBP as a positive evaluation for ANZSCO 234611 or not

Especially that this letter is not stating my actual experience period and only mentioning literally (more than three years)

I got confused after I received an advice from my migration agent that this paper is not accepted and I should send back for AIMS requesting a new assessment letter.

Do any one from our colleagues already granted their visa has any experience with this issue

Im new here...been going through the previous discussions and it seems very helpful so i decided to join..🙂

Im an RMT here in pinas with over 18 yrs of work experience (yeah, pretty old, huh? Lol)

Ive been to QLD thrice as a tourist and wish to find work there in the future.

Took IELTS last Sept with an over all band score of 7.5...already sent my assessment application to AIMS this month when I was in OZ and still waiting for the result.

(Im not sure if i can still get a total of 60 pts if i try the 189 or 190 visa since im already 43 na.)

Ive been searching for review centers for the AIMS exam here kaso isa lang ata yung meron dito which is located in Davao pa ( i live in Manila).I called them to ask if I can purchase review materials from them..P5,500 daw inclusive of a review book complilation and questionaires from past exams from ASCP-BOC post tests daw. Looking at the sample test ng AIMS pack, more on identification and essay ang style ng exams nila, unlike ASCP na multiple choice. So i was having second thoughts if i should get the review materials from them or if it will help my review kahit mukhng more on ASCP sila? Meron po b kayo alam na pwd mbilihan ng mga questionaires (previous exams) for AIMS?

Need advice po sana from those who already took the exam...

@sabrina Hi. Ang maisasuggest ko na review materials ay yung theriot at hubbard. Nasa website ng aims din yung sample questions. Try mo rin magbackread para sa mga lumabas sa previous exams. Narerecycle mga ibang tanong sa exam nila. May pm din ako sayo.

@NicoDC hello po. Start pa lang sana ako sa process. Ask ko lang kasama ba sa mga documents ang ITR for the assessment by aims or COE will do na po. Medyu my hassle po kasi ang ITR ko.

@vangie ang ITR po is pagnainvite na sa visa 189/190. Di po sya included sa assessment ng AIMS, please look po sa website ng aims ung requirement, nandun po lahat ng kailangan. Halos finollow ko lang dun. COE will suffice.

Hi I'm new to this forum,

Just got a positive assessment from AIMS as a med lab tech. however the assessment letter is rather vague and doesn't mention if I am eligible to sit for the professional exam for med lab scientist.

Did anyone here have the same experience?

I called AIMS about this and they informed me that it should be mentioned on the letter that I can sit for the exam, or I cannot sit for the exam... Since they haven't mentioned anything about the eligibility to sit the exam and only mentioned my skill assessment as a med lab tech, I'd like to know if anyone else here had the same experience..

Have they mentioned any such thing in your assessment letter?

It doesnt mention it at all in my letter, just says about the assessed as lab tech. part.

Oh well, I'm awaiting the response from AIMS. I'll hope for the best I guess.

Hi! I find this thread really helpful. I am a registered medtech here in the Philippines and I've been working as one for almost 3 years. I plan to move to Australia with my kid. I have a sister who lives in Sydney and is a permanent resident.

I plan to take the AIMS exam after mag 3 years ang work experience ko.

I have a few questions:

Sa Australia, different ag med. lab. technician from med. lab. scientist, right? Which assessment should i take? Coz i saw sa website ng aims na different ang assessments nila.
Saan pwede mag take ng exam here sa Philippines? Plan ko sana kasi na dito nalang mag exam para medyo less stress na when we reach Sydney. Hanap work nalang.
Do i need to enroll sa review center or makakaya ba with self-review lang?

I still have to read the rest of the thread coz alam ko may mga suggestions for review materials.

Btw, I am applying for student visa which is good for 2 years and i'll bring my kid as dependent.

My masterplan is student muna for 2 years, hanap ng part time job, take the aims assessment and work as med lab scientist. But i think it's better na i'll take the exam before i go there.

@Hearty Hi. It seems everyone is busy for Christmas so no replies yet on your questions... Anyway Ill try my best to answer them...

If you're a Philippine College BS MT (not BSPH of UP) graduate and PRC licensed, AIMS will always assess you as Lab Technician and will invite you to sit for an Exam held every September and March. if you pass, then you will become Med Sci, which is eligible for a visa 189.
Exam venue is in a Makati Hotel i think. AIMS will contact you about the venue in Manila.

3.Self review. No review center in Ph currently focuses on AIMS exam (which is not MCQs).

You can PM those who already passed the exams and ask for advices regarding techniques they used to pass.

If you're in a hurry to go to Oz then pursue your plan as a student, but I would suggest you apply for a PR visa using Med Sci as Skilled occupation since you will take your kid with you. Less hassle because you dont have to go to school while providing for your child. And I think, students has limited hours of work there. Tuition is expensive too.

Ask ko lng regarding doon sa checklist for assessment sabi " AN OFFICIAL CERTIFIED RECORD OF EDUCATIONAL COURSES COMPLETED SHOWING : SUBJECTS, HOURS, EXAMINATION RESULTS, AND WHERE APPLICABLE, DETAILS OF PRACTICAL AND CLINICAL EDUCATION." Sa maikling salita po ba TRANSCRIPT OF RECORDS ba ito? O need pa ng Clock hours coming from College office mismo in response to Details of practical and clinical education? Pahelp naman po sa mga nagpa- assess na. TIA.

@Hearty personally po, magtake na kayo ng exams dito, para less stress. Madami naman nakikipagsapalaran sa 189 visa pero nabibigyan sila by God's grace. Kung sakali magrant visa nyo 189 iwan muna ilang months baby nyo sa pinas kasi napakamahal ng pagpapaalaga sa aussie, hanap muna kayo work then kapag okay na, at kabisado nyu na rin ang place get nyu na ang 2 y/o nyo. Pananaw ko lng po un, pero nasa inyu pa rin desisyun.

hello po, tanung lng po sana , 3rd year na po sister ko and graduating next year BS MedTech .. Ngstart na po ako research pano ang process visa for her to work here. Kelangan po ba my work experience? Is it possible na mgapply straight after graduating? dame ko po nababasa about AIMS? Company po ba ang aims to take exam (similar to board exam to be registered) and if you pass po without work experience eligible po ba for skilled visa dto Australia? Any feedback po would be greatly appreciated.

@netzskie ah, good na nagstart ka na magresearch but better check their site first. Aims.org.au lahat ng questions mo po andun makikita, dyan po lahat simula. Check nyo po kung eligible ba sya for assessment.

After that kailngan nya mameet ung 60pts na requirment sa visa. Factor is age, english exam, result ng assessment, work exp.
