Tourist Visa - Parent

Hi po!

I am planning to have my mom and dad visit po dito sa Aus this year. Concerned lang po ako kasi both of them don't have any income, and are completely dependent on me. I am only planning to have them here for a month para makabisita at tour.

Side note: I am a temporary resident from a partner visa. But have my auntie living here in aus. Pwede ko po ba syang gawing sponsor din? Aside from me and my partner.?

Any tips and suggestions po is greatly appreciated!

Nung inapply ko parents ko ng tourist visa, payslips lang namin ni hubby prinovide ko. Nilagay ko na kami bahala sa lahat ng gastos. We are PR though.

ask ko lang kung enough na to for TV ng parents ko. Senior na sila.

invitation letter na ako lahat sasagot ng titirhan at kakainin nila for the duration of stay.
round trip ticket for a week stay.
BC at MC ng parents ko at other IDs, like voters etc.
optional is kuha ko sila travel insurance at health insurance.
bank statement ko.

anything to add?

any land titles under names? or bank cert ng joint account nila? proof of pension?

For those whose visa has been granted, mandatory ba magpurchase at ipakita ang return ticket sa immigration? Kasi ang entry point niya is Melbourne and I've only purchased a one way ticket for mum via Melbourne. Plan ko kasi i-tour siya ng Sydney or Adelaide and gawin nalang exit point niya iyon in 3months time hence the reason I didnt book her a return ticket yet.

Any experiences po? Thanks in advance.

you need to decided asap saan sya exit, most cases, PH immig looks for return ticket, same as au immig.

did you purchased health insurance during visa app or after visa grant?

@Captain_A when my parents came here last year we had scouted for having them avail the health insurance pero dahil short stay lang naman sila and both of them were fit, we opted not to. In case your budget will suffice, better din na ikuha mo sila prior their arrival - it comes with a card

May mom-in-law's visitor visa will be expiring soon on the 23rd of May. I will be applying her again now in advance with the same type visitor visa 600, but this time it will be 12months.

Question: What if the new visa application gets denied? Will this void the current active visitor visa she is holding?

i assume visitor visa 600 onshore.

in my exp, when you apply onshore, bibigyan ka ng bridging visa, which takes effect once the current visa expires.

baka mas ok ata na mag apply ka once malapit na mag expires ang visa like a week before.. still up to you

I'm a bit worried if I apply her too close to the expiration since I'm planning to have the visitor visa 600 12months and this will definitely require medicals.

bridging visa gives you rights to stay until visa decision arrives.

we were given bridging visa when the applicant is on australia and still has a valid visitor visa. this is our experience, more likely ganyan din sa in law mo..

to be 100% sure you may call immig.

Other thing immig mentioned that she should not stay for more that 12 consecutive months. So if my mom-in-law was here Aug 2019 and if she gets extended by the new visitor visa that I will be applying, it will most likely be approved for only until Aug 2020.

But I told immig that mom-in-law went home Jan 2020 for just a week and asked I asked them if will it reset the 12 consecutive months. Immig said yes it should reset but it will depend now on the case officer. What was your case in this scenario?

hindi ko pala tlga sya na try sa parent.

pero afaik, 12 months always starts from the entry date.

so if january 2020 pumasok sa Australia, she may stay until January 2021, given na 12months ang binigay ni case officer.

i suggest apply as planned, then sa grant notice, it will mention until when she may stay, if unclear sa nakasulat sa grant notice or to decide when to book her plane tickets, you may call immig again to be sure na hindi sya lumampas sa allowed stay nya.

No.

She will get automatic bridging visa A which will be activated once visa 600 expires and wala pa results and extension visa application.
