padi, pansin ko sa australia hindi common ang free wifi... usually may hotspot but you pay credits in order to use the service. at least this is what we experienced last yr in our visit to melbourne.

state-wide wifi diyan diba hehe so hindi kayo mawawalan ng internet sa Australia hehe

Napansin ko nga din dito hindi common ang free wifi (to think na australian naka imbento ng wifi) hehehe. mas madami pa din free wifi sa pinas. punta ka lang ng malls e. hehehe.

@aldousnow naku...hindi reliable mga wifi sa malls (lalo na sa SM)...libre kuno pero hindi ka naman maka access kahit facebook hehe

You just have to look or google. Some free wifi here in brissy are on certain trains, botanical garden, westfield malls, coffee shops and some restaurants.

Regarding Initial entry due date, required b na pati dependent makapag initial entry on or before that date????? Or pwede ung principal lang.if ung dependent hindi mkaPag initial entry before that date ,ma-void b ang visa nya???

pag hindi sila naka pag-entry before the IED, ma-void ang visa nila..

nangyari na yan sa ibang forum nabasa ko.. ayun re-apply ang mga dependents..

Hello Peeps!

Nandito ako ngayon sa Sydney for my initial entry. Babalik din ako sa SG next week. So far ito yung mga nagawa ko na within one day:

Open bank account sa NAB. Take note unlike sa SG, after one week pa makuha yung ATM so abot pa naman kung totoong next monday or tuesday ko pa makuha. Passport and visa grant notification po ang hiningi sa akin. You also need an Aus address so I guess makisuyo muna sa kakilala hehe
Register Medicare - Buti na lang nasa same building lang yung NAB and Medicare so less hassle for me. Merong nadodownload na form sa Medicare site for enrolment then submit na lang pag nandun na (may queue system pala). Pero sa case ko, hindi ako na print yung form. May staff dun na palakad-lakad at nag-assist so inform mo na lang siya na new immigrant ka then bigyan ka niya nung enrolment form. Kung hindi kayo nagpa visa stamp, just make sure na dala niyo yung print out ng Visa Grant Notification and your passport of course. You need to nominate a bank account sa medicare. After the processing, bigyan ka ng maliit na papel which serves as your temporary medicare card. After 3 weeks pa raw i-memail yung card so hindi ko na maabutan.
TFN Registration - online lang ito pero so far wala pa feedback

pero yung stop over na sa loob lang ng airport.. haha waley...lol..
