@sweet_tooth puwede naman pong magrent kaagad...just visit the place personally at magpakita kayo ng mga Australian identification docs...usually 1-2 month ng bond hihingin nila

@lean110586 nakapunta ka na ba ng Sydney before? Kung alam mo na yung mga place kung san ka makakuha ng temporary residence, pwde, kung hindi, I think mdyo risky yang gagawin mo.

Hi Sweet_tooth! Hindi po nila hinihingi. Basta mag open ka lang ng account, ok na yun. In opening an account, I didn't spend a cent din. Walang money needed to open. I opened with NAB pala.

I'll answer na rin po ha your other question, you don't have to have a rental history to be able to rent a place. Sa experience ko po, I was not even working yet when I was approved for tenancy. But I already had an employer. So, they asked for a copy of the contract as proof of employment. Dito nako naghanap ng apartment pagdating ko. Mainly because agents generally don't rent out unless you've seen the place first. Kaya naman po maghanap ng apartment within a week of arrival.

One month bond rental ang usual na hinihingi plus 2 weeks' advance rental. (Worth 6 weeks of rental po in other words).

@lean110586 it helps to look in advance and you can also contact the landlord as early as possible na interesado kayo...of course huwag muna kayo magdedeposit hangga't nakita niyo na yung unit mismo hehe...kung may kaibigan kayo, mas mainam magstay muna kayo pansamantala or sa hostel 🙂

@LokiJr Thank you po,,, naghanap po ako gumtree and flatmates pero lahat po kakaiba either pinapadeposit po ako agad, ung iba sa picture and sa labas ko lang daw po tignan kase asa us daw siya ,,, idedeposit ko raw money para i telegraph daw po niya susi,,, then my nagpost po ng iisang address then 2 account po, tapos ung isa dami pong hinihinging information. Yes po magstay po muna me sa hostel magsearch po ko now na ng cheaper para diretso nalang po muna ako habang hanap ng place,,, thank you po sooo much for the information!

@lean110586 I suggest mag-book ka muna ng hostel, then you can check sa google map paano pumunta dun. Mahirap yang gagawin mo at bago ka lang sa lugar eh.

tanong po on internet, may nabibili ba n broadband stick jan? upon arrival kc, we will be staying at a friends place for 2months lang tapos saka na lilipat ng place of our own. d2 kc sa pinas if you apply for line from ISP, mahirap ilipat if mgcchange address. so how i go about this? whats the best option para i can have internet access ?thanks

@olan interesado rin ako sa question mo..kase parang nakikita kong option is the dongle type ng telstra pero its prepaid..

gusto ko rin malaman if postpaid and lilipat ka pa ng iba address later on.

may mga prepaid padi, I just don't know the specifics and how much...

me and my wife, what we are looking at doing is that bibili lang kami ng prepaid credit which will be good for a few gigs of internet data. we can utilize the connection sa laptops namin by teethering.

ang hindi ko lang alam is the speed of prepaid data plan... 🙂 i hope it will be fast enough to cater to our basic needs.

just like you guys, as soon as magkaroon ng sariling place na, saka nalang kumuha ng broadband.

ang alam ko free ang wifi sa mga public libraries.. office hours nga lang..

kung wala din nmn lakad.. at malapit lang sa library.. dun na tumambay para concentrate sa pagsubmit ng resume... 😉..
