Would it be possible for u to send me a copy of the Australian resume format na nabanggit mo sa post mong ito. I'm not aware that there is a specific resume format in Au. I'm actually a newbie here but i have been granted a subclass 190 visa
Dec 2013. I've been sending applications online way before the visa grant, mainly thru seek.com, and have not received any positive feedback yet. A few friends told me na di maganda ang market jan specifically for engineering where my line of is in. Kaya hesitant akong magresign from my work here in singapore and I have until november of this yr to make my first entry in AU. Some friends advise me to not resign yet until im sure of a job then just have a 1 or 2-week vacation in Au sometime august or september bago mag holiday mood and mga aussies just to test the waters. My agent told me to go take the risk at pumunta jan sa au kahit walang trabahong sigurado. Sabe nya, makakahanap naman daw ako for sure--kahit temporarily e di in line sa trabaho ko. My agent also said that anong good ng visa mo kundi ka agad pupunta dito sa Australia. Hindi pa rin ako makadecide on what to do. Im afraid na maubos ko lang yung ipon ko para makipagsapalaran jan sa Au without a sure source of income. On the other hand, i really want to go there now and escape my very stressful working environment here in singapore. I hope you guys can give me so insights on this. Many thanks!!</blockquote>
hi Seraph, i had the same dilemma as you 3 years ago. Ang gnawa ko ndi ko ginive up muna ang PR ko sa SG and I decided to give it a try here for 2 months at kung walang mangyari babalik ako ng SG eventhough I alreadyy resigned from my job,, matter of fact ay returned ticket ung binili ko non. Luckily after 3 wks of stay here my nahanap nman ako na work Yes, what your friends are saying is true na medyo mahirap ung job market ngayon dto. Anong field mo po sa engineering? Dito kami sa Melbourne, and they say its the manufacturing capital of Aus, but sad to say too many job losses happening specially nung nag announce ung 3 big car makers na they will cease their mfng here, sabi nga sa news eh its about 40 job losses/day at Victoria alone and not much jobs are being created. Added pa na competition is getting tougher na din because of many immigrants coming from UK, China and India as well. My foremer manager from SG, he and the family moved to Brisbane Feb of last year and last time na nakausap ko sya wala padn daw syang work (I think that was Nov), lucky ung wife nya is IT at nagka work agad.
Maybe you give it a try for 1-2 months but be prepared financially since my kamahalan ang cost of living specially if u dont have relatives or friends na matutuluyan like my case,

Hello @happyinmelbourne34!! Thanks so much for responding🙂 so you're currently staying in melbourne, right? Just making sure🙂 kase i was sponsored by victoria and im planning to stay and hopefully get a job in melbourne. I have relatives in adelaide but im not sure if i will allowed to stay there while looking for a job in victoria--just to minimize my accommodation expenses once i decide to go there in au and syempre kahit papano may makkunan ako ng moral support🙂. Would you know kung okay lang yun?
Im a civil engineer and ive worked mainly in the oil and gas industry. How about you? Mejo scary yung stats ng job losses jan ah. Pero if i decide to take the risk and go there without a job, what kind of odd jobs ang masasabeng pdeng "pantawid gutom" jan sa melbourne? And can you please give me some figures pagdating sa average monthly expenses jan? I heard maahal daw jan sa melbourne compared with other cities.
