Victoria State Sponsorship

Guys, anyone tried the victoria state sponsorship route? Is the proof of funds required up front when logging the state sponsorship application or can it be deferred when you are to go to australia?

I knew an applicant from other forum who was granted Victoria sponsorship last year. He had estimated an amount, he did not show any proof of funds, I think it was deffered.

Just to remember this friend, unluckily, that time Victoria sponsorship does not required IELTS then upon application so he has to take the IELTS after sponsorship was grated but unfortunately he could not get required score even he took the IELTS 4 times, he asked for some extensions, he was allowed few but he was given last and ultimate but still from his last try i dont know for whatever reason he did'nt get the IELTS score he has expected to get. The extension expires until my dear poor friend gave up. It was difficult for me what had happen to him, through his post i could see that he is a good person. But i could not do anything until i had'nt known his whereabouts by then. If only then those review centers have show up clearly through their advertisement dessimination or if only i knew then there was 9.0 Niners or something like that to offer my friend he should not experience being fall short of a visa grants. haayz!!! huuu!!!

that's one unfortunate story... even if your friend didnt have niners, if he (we) had pinoyau back then, then it would probably been easier for him

Yup! i agree with you, i asked him then how come he was the only applicant in our batch who applied he was the only lucky person granted coz we are all rejected by Vic, others take sometime for rejection that made us waited for some months. We are also aware of financial capacity declaration and asked him how did he declared, he told he just estimated the cost per head of his family member and declared to Vic.

Hi, buhayin ko sana itong thread na ito... any recent applicants for SS in Victoria?

We will be lodging our application either tonight or tomorrow - sabi nila, it will be a wait that can go as long as 12 weeks but I guess it should be worth it I hope... 🙂

Mabilis naman sila mag respond and mag follow up through email.

Last email I received from them nagtatanong bakit ko daw gusto sa Victoria kung may friends naman ako from other states. Then, state ko reason ng professional prospects ko sa Victoria compared to other states.

Pero mukhang nasa deciding stage na sila kasi yung email is something like...'Before we finalise this..blah blah.. please answer the 2 questions via email'.

almost the same time pala tayo nag apply for victoria application.. they also ask additional info from me about my CV.. kasi iba yung format ng CV ko.. medyo high level... it's good to know na malapit na nilang i finalize yung sa yo.. i hope malapit na din yung sa akin...i worked before in Canberra but pinili ko Victoria kasi nandoon may mga relatives ako doon...

konting hintay muna boss @multitasking - VIC are really slow (12 wks on the average from what I know...), hopefully though it will come in time as your Christmas gift! 🙂

oo nga po...mabagal talaga sa victoria. nagapply din kasi ako dati dun e. almost 3 months din inabot bago ko matanggap yung approval. pero nung time na natanggap ko approval nila, too late na kasi nasubmit ko na visa application ko nun with NSW SS at may CO na din kami. hehe

I understand that the state may require you some additional documents regarding the SS. Ask ko lang po, tama po ba that the proof of fund is only needed upon the actual visa application, or upon EOI palang?

At any point in time po ba, assuming you got accepted for SS and are unable to submit the required documents, (i.e come up with the 20kAUD/head) can you still proceed with a 189 application instead of a 190?

after 3 mos of lodging my SS application in Victoria, I finally received the good news that I successfully passed the application.

I just have to reply to them if I'll accept it or not. Sobrang blessing naman na nakakalito na dahil I was also accepted in NZ and will relocate there end of Jan.

Ano ba mas ok, NZ or AU? Nakakalito pumili kung parehas ok. 🙂 --God is good.

If you want a more laid back back life, NZ cguro... But take not that most people from NZ are only using NZ as a stepping stone for Australia...

Do we need evidence to prove what you claim on your financial capacity? I just estimated ours and some of it are land titles that's not under me (Family owned). Thanks!
