thanks @lock_code2004! We just have one doubt in claiming partner skills points specifically for SS. I am the main applicant, Software Engineer(261313) and we need 5 pts from partner skills.
My wife’s occupation is listed on the Victoria CSOL - Research and Development Manager(132511).
Per http://www.liveinvictoria.vic.gov.au/visas-and-immigrating/occupation-lists/state-nomination-occupation-list-for-victoria the minimum IELTS requirement for R&D manager is 7.0 in each band. She was able to get at least 6 in each band, but not at least 7 in each band.
But per Victoria’s website, we are not sure if we can claim partner skills points since her score is not at least 7 in each band. Or is this only applicable if siya ang main applicant namin for Vic? But since ako naman ang main applicant, do you think we can still claim partner skill pts even if she did not get at least 7 in each band?
Based on IMMI/DIBP for partner skills pts mukhang eligible naman ang wife ko, because the requirement is only competent English which is at least 6 in each band:
Clients can claim points for their partner’s skills if their partner is able to satisfy the following basic requirements:
o Is not an Australian permanent resident or an Australian citizen
o Is under 50 at time of application
o Has an occupation listed on the same SOL as the main applicant
o Has a positive skills assessment by the relevant assessing authority
o Has competent English; and
