Hi everyone. I've been reading this forum since 2012 but finally decided to create an account just now. I wanted to share my timeline of my 476 journey and other concerns. ๐)
Here goes:
17 May 2014 - IELTS Exam
29 May 2014 - IELTS Results(L=7, R=8, W=7, S=7)
02 June 2014 - Lodged Application for Visa 476 (Graduation date - 05 June 2012)
19 June 2014 - CO Allocation, request for NBI Clearance and Medical Exam
23 June 2014 - NBI Clearance
04 July 2014 - Medical Exam - St. Luke's BGC
09 July 2014 - Visa Granted - IED: 2015 May 29
It was a pretty smooth process for me, so thanks to other 476ers who shared their experiences here. It's proven to be helpful!
Ongoing plan is to save up more money pa and decide which area/region best to go to given my credentials and skills, and of course find employment.
I was initially set on moving by April 2015 but after reading more about visa 189, I wanted to plan as early as now for it. Nakakainis kasi na hindi pa umabot un IED ko sa 3rd year ko sa work (02 June 2015) so I can claim the 5 pts once assessed by EA para sa preparation for 189. Currently kasi, I'm estimating I only have 55 pts (Age-30 pts, English Language Ability-10 pts, Qualification/Education-15 pts). I'm thinking of possible solutions to get at least 60pts the soonest, I hope you can help me decide on which is the best course of action or if you have better suggestions rin.
Option A: File VL in current work, fly to AUS and return to MNL before IED (29 May 2015), probably week before that, for the sake na hindi ma-invalidate yun 476. Then I file resignation by June(3 years work experience) and fly back again to AUS. (Controllable option but expensive)
Option B: Retake IELTS and get 8 in all modules. (Depends on the result but cheaper)
So far, yun pa lang naiisip ko. Or am I thinking too much ahead of time? ๐
Thanks!
