How does Skill Select Works?

@Jenny_sg Based po sa mga info dito sa forum. Yung mataas na points ang mas prioririze nila. And you first need to provide an Expression of interest (EOI) application to DIAC before you can proceed with the visa application. No acknowledgement of your EOI you could not proceed with your application. Syempre you need na magpasa din ng mga usual requirements like IELTS and skills assessment together with the EOI.

Parang me dadaaan ka pang another process bako ka makapag apply ng visa. Unlike ngayon pwede ka na maglodge once kumpleto mo na yung IELTS at skills assessment mo.

accdg sa post ni @aolee, after sending EOI, you would have to wait for the Invitation to Apply before you can proceed. that's the difference based sa pagkakaintindi ko..

Wala din naman kami magagawa kung di kami makakaabot before sa july 2012.Mukhang susubok kami sa bago rules ng migration system nila.Nag agent na nga kami para di madelay un pagaayos ng submition ng application namin kaso sa tingin ko mukha di kakayanin lalo na sa tgal ng assessment sa vetasses,na don kami babagsak sa bago rules.Anyway, may God Blesses us all to our application and journey down under.Hoing and praying na lang kami na maging blessing un bago rule sa amin...goodluck sa lahat.

@Jenny_sg what if uwian nyo sandali? tapos kayo na magroute ng COE? para pipirma na lang ung mga company sa pinas ni hubby mo? uubra ba yun?

@ aolee, gusto talaga namin gawin un na puntahan un company nya dati sa pinas kaso di tlaga pwede si hubby makaleave kasi sobra dami deadlines at project nila sa office.Araw-araw na sya ot tapos nag rereview pa sya sa ielts nya this coming march 31, nagleave na rin sya sa last week ng march para lang tutukan ang ielts exam nya, ako naman nagrereview rin pero by 2nd week ng april un exam ko kasi huli na ng sabihin ng agent namin na expired na daw un ielts ko dati.Sa Nclex kasi un Ielts ko kaso more than 1 year na sya, sa nclex kasi valid sya for 2 years pero kung sa migration purposes daw 1 year lag sya valid.Admin aolee nacheck mo na ba kung pumasok na sa account un transfer ko?

Latest I heard was that the final guidelines for Skill Select and the new immigration rules will be released sometime in May...

So sa mga humahabol, ask yourselves first if you can complete all visa documents in 3 months...kung kaya, itodo niyo na ang pagpasa hehe...

Kung hindi po aabot, pagbutihin niyo na lang muna ang IELTS...malaking bagay po yung 10 - 20 points...tapos magpasa na po kayo ng skills assessment.

Hi everyone,

Im new here and planning to migrate to OZ as well. Can an agent quicken the process for immig application? Kasi nag iisip ako kng gagamit pa ng agent or mas OK kng sariling sikap nlng. At least makakatipid...your thoughts?...

That's a common misconception...(correct me if I'm wrong hehe)...agents will not speed up the process, they just make your life more convenient because they will do all the requirements for you (i.e. documentation, compliance, submission).

Kumbaga, pareho lang po kayo ng pinipilahan ng agent, yun nga lang pag gumamit kayo ng agent, sila ang pipila para sa inyo. Walang "priority lane" ang mga agents sa pagprocess ng visa hehe (pag nagsabi sila nang parang ganyan, magduda na kayo)

If you have the time to read the requirements and the time to compile them, you're better off doing it yourself (nakatipid ka pa ng 100,000++).

Magandang araw! Under sas skills classification, ang aking profession Na librarian ay under sa GSM skills occupation list sched 1&2 na nagsasaad Na nominated daw nang state Or territory state agency. Do you have any idea Kung ano ang Gagawin ko dito?

Kayo pa din naman po ang maglalakad ng mga documents niyo. Kayo ang lalapit sa mga previous employers niyo to ask for references. Ang magagawa lang ni agent to help you is to check personally if okay yun format nun documents niyo and if they comply with the given guidelines of ACS or kung sino man yun body responsible for your skills assessment. Check din nila if okay for submission sa DIAC if ever yun docs niyo. AND pwedeng sila na din ang mag-notarize ng mga documents niyo. Meron din mga advantages, if you have the extra money to spend. Pero by the end of the day, sama sama lang po sa pila ang meron agents and walang agents sa paghihintay na magka-CO and visa. 🙂

@zoom, sariling sikap ako hehe...anlaki kasi ng kaltas ng agent. Kung may oras ka basahin yung mga threads sa forum natin, andami mo nang matututunan at kaya mong magpasa mag-isa. Ako kasi ang pag-iisip ko diyan, yung perang ibabayad ko sa agent, pagkain at accommodation ko na yun pag nasa Australia hehe

But if you insist on getting an agent, I would try PALMS Immigration. Marami na silang natulungan at taon-taon may immigration seminar sila binibigay so at least patunay lang na alam nila ginagawa nila at hindi sila scammer hehe

hi lokijr, ma e tanong ko lang anong ang "body/institution" na responsible sa assesment ng skills ko - insurance administrator kasi ako. at yung wife ko ay "librarian". thanks

good day sa lahat! hingi lang po ako ng advice...

eto po yung situation ko:

may 4 ako certificate of employment

1st, 2nd and 4th ko na certificates completo sa duties and responsibilities all related to course and total of 4 years of work po lahat to.

ang ika 3rd ito yung certificate na near impossible ko makuha yung duties responsibility. not even a statutory dec with my colleagues. the sad part is itong 3rd na to recent lang 2010-2011. and still related to my course

advicable po ba na e send nalang lahat to sa ACS? kahit walang duties and responsibilty yung 3rd certificate?

will the ACS accept note for my 3d explaining to them na reason why hindi ako maka kuha ng duties and responsibilities OR I will just create my own statutory dec referece to my self. I know na bawal because of the new policy of stat dec. but I will give it a try.

You may want to ask ACS first if they will accept...but because your third COE is just for a year, it should not affect your assessment that much. Lalo na't may mas recent ka namang trabaho na related din sa tinapos mo.

Try and ask and if it's taking too long, try to submit all 4 with a brief explanation on the 3rd COE
