How does Skill Select Works?

hi! Need to clarify lng po:

1) Sa EOI, mejo naconfuse lng ako sa "usual country of residence" - is it Pinas ba or country where you are currently staying?

2) Then ung sa Education, "Does the client meet the Australian study requirements for the skilled migration point test?" - eto ba ung result ng assessing authority na comparable ung qualifications mo sa Au level?

3) Education history, "Has the client completed or is currently enrolled in any studies at secondary level and above?" - same lng ba ito ng high school level saten? Yes din ba dpat ang sagot?

Just want to confirm lng po pra walang sabit 😃

Kung san ka nakatira
If you studied in Au for atleast 2 yrs then yes.. Otherwise answer NO. Magkaiba po ang points ng nagaral sa AU.. Yung assessment is only checking if your educ is equivalent to AU standard.

Marami po ang nalito dyan at na invalid ang mga visa application dahil sa maling claim ng points.. Please read the EoI pts system carefully.

Hi to all. Binabasa ko un reports sa skillselect page and puro report lang sa number of189 and 489 visa approvals ang nkalagay. Kasama na ba dito un 190? If not san po ako mkakakita ng data na para sa 190 pra maestimate na rin kung ilan ang inaapprove nila na 190. TIA!

i think walang detailed report specifically for visa190.. ang meron lang eh kung ilan ang count.. nandun din sya same report..

once approved na ang SS mo (regardless of EOI pts), automatic invitation na agad to apply for visa.. state ang nag initiate ng invitation to apply for visa.

Hehe tama na down the drain ang bayad pag mahuli pero depende ito kung risk worth taking ito. Basta diskarte mo na yan at dapat my documents ka to back up yun "lie" na yun pag iverify nila. Pag pati documents mo kelangan idoctor, parang yun mga nahuli (matagal na news ito) na nagsabi mataas IELTS pero fake rin pala iyun IELTS results, sure huli ka na nyan.

@lock_code2004 hi po! would you know po ba if in case nauna nag-invite c 189 visa, pwede pba ako ma-invite for 190? ang case ko kc nag-invite c WA ng SS then pending pa ung application ko. Then just now, nakareceive ako ng invite for 189 visa. (weird nga kc supposed to be tomorrow pa but nag-notify na sa skillselect).

Pde ko ba wait c 190 pra mas mabilis magka-CO or need ko na iapply c 189 coz locked na ung skillselect?

yung first mag invite, mag lock ang EOI mo.. so yun dapat ang applyan mo..

unless gusto mong ignore yun invitation na yun, but you will have to wait for 60days yata para ma-unlocked sya (kung hindi ka mag-aaply)..

my take on this.. continue na with visa 189.. you have the option to go anywhere in AU..

konti lang ang difference ng waiting time ng 190 and 189.. so tuloy mo na yan..

if i read it correctly, hindi pa nmn pala approved ang SS mo..

nagparamdam nga chief c WA SS eh. nde daw nila maaccess ung EOI hehe. Sabi ko nkapaglodge nko 189.... Tamah bawiin ko nlng un sa oz! haha

ask ko lng po, ung NO ko ns CSOL but then wla state n ns occupation on demand sya. before ns WA pero ngupdate sila ng list. any other options para matuloy ko application ko. i got postive assessment n s NO ko.

Hi, some newbie questions. I'm sorry kung some of these ay nasagot na.

If after assessment hindi ka qualified, can you still re-apply after some time?
Let's say, okay na lahat and you get a visa, you still have to find a job in Australia right? How hard is it to find one?
Which leads me to question 3: Isn't it better to look for a job prior to having your skills assessed?

(1) Pwede ka mag-reapply; usually malalaman mo naman what was the reason why di ka qualified. Work on how to address these and when the time comes, apply ulit.

(2) Yes, you still need to find a job here in Australia. A PR visa will only give you the right to stay here indefinitely and look for a job but it does not provide you with a job though. How hard it is to get a job? Depends on how good your qualifications/experiences are and how well you market yourself in your CV and interview. However, marami ang naghahanap ng local experience in which wala tayo nito as we are new in Australia. I would say it is somehow hard, took us 2 months to find a job. But I know some who got jobs with their 1st month. May kakilala din ako na 9 months na wala pa job.

(3) Chances are, without a skills assessment (hence wala ka din PR visa), they will not really entertain you much... However if you are really talented, they could sponsor you for an employment visa.
