Work as an engineer in Australia

@vitofilip salamat at I could attest to your info kasi sabi ng college batch mate ko sa Perth right now, maganda daw na I aim for my Certificates especially level IV considering na more than 10 years na ako practicing dito sa Philippines as engineer.

Alam ko na noon pa na hindi basta 2x nakakapasok sa work as "engineer" dyan kahit exprienced na sa pinas. Kaya, I am forecasting to get:

Local experience (3-6 months)
Study or take a certificate (I don't know if this is the RPL process)

I need to secure a permanent job din kasi bro. Para pag pinasunod ko na family ko, all of them, sure na may work na matatag. Need all the preparation and hard work. Madalas nga na aussie employer ang hanap ay if meron ka na bang local experience and certifications "GAINED FROM AUSTRALIAN EMPLOYER" yan ang tanong na gusto ko mabigyan ng solution.

@jedh_g Tama bro. Ganyan talaga ang ibang tinitignan na option ng mga migrants dito. Mas maganda talaga na ma-address ang palagi hinahanap ng recruiters na "Local Work Experience". Mahirap kasi na madalian lahat pero walang direction. Buti si Mrs muna nag training para hindi masayang ang pera.hehehe Kasi mas madali mka hanap ng gov't subsidized training si Mrs kasi hindi na assess ang education qualifications niya di tulad ko na nag pa assess na sa Engineer's Australia. Kaya, plano namin, work muna ng odd jobs isa sa amin para mka tagal pa ang pera pang gastos sa araw2x. Kaya ok yan direction na mag training bro. Good luck sa ating lahat.hehehe

@Captain_A Bro, sabi ng mga kakilala ko na naka hanap na ng work dito sa Oz, mostly sa SEEK sila nka hanap ng work at mas malaki daw chance kung sa mga private advertisers or direct from company ang advertisement. Pag mga HAYS daw, mahirap kasi puro mga may local experience ang pinipili na nila. Sinasuggest din nila na mag google ng mga companies na related sa work experience na hinahanap mo at check mo kung may email address sila para makapag email ka ng cover letter at resume sa kanila. Minsan effective din yun. At mas maganda na mag improve daw parati ng Resume based sa job posting, lalo na sa Cover letter dapat personalized sa company daw ang labas.

Hello mga bros. Advice ko lang dito sa sydney. Reality, mahirap talaga makapasok sa construction industry lalo pag based kayo sa site. hahanapan kayo local experience and need nyo white card certificate. Stiff ang competition dito kaya wag kayo rely sa agency.. Referrals and ring up nyo mismo un company, not email. Confidence is the key sa pgkuha ng work. credentials and cert, way lang un sa pagland ng interview, sa interview mismo, different ball game na yan.. BE CONFIDENT and you must have excellent communication skills.. Advice ko QS, estimator, design and CAD mas madali kayo makapasok pag yan experience nyo.. Goodluck guys. Based lang yan sa experience and observation ko. hehe.

Ask ko lang po mga kapea ko civil engineer at mga ibang engineers. Kung madali po ba makahanap ng work sa OZ? Like cad operator or revit archi. Or field engineer. Nagbabalak po kasi kami mag migrate sa OZ. ask ko din magkano daily gastos or cost of living? Para maestimate kung magkano pocket money na kailangan.

Hello everyone ask ko lng po me and my husband are both engineers. Pero sa gusto na namin mag australia mag land kami hopefully early next year as student visa muna. Ang question ko po since ung asawa ko lng ang mag aaral i can work partym po.. matagal na kasi ako sa construction as mep quantity surveyor my possibility po ba na mka apply ako partym to my field if ever i like lang po? Salamat po..

@madel09 yup. Actually, you can work full-time. Cia lang ang hindi puedeng mag fulltime. Competitive lang ang application for work like elsewhere in the world. Kahit matagal ka na sa field mo. Pray for guidance. Apir!

Pede lang cia magfulltime ata kapag sem break.. up to 40+ hours a week. Not sure though..

@PitMb sa Electrical ako bro. Been applying to jobs with "Engineer" on it but always get rejected. Applied as a draftsperson at ayun nakuha thankfully. Kinuha ko since wala akong Australian experience pa and due to economic reason din since my money is running out.

Hopefully in the future, I can land a job as an Engineer talaga.

Ikaw ba, is this your first experience in AU? Hinanapan ka ba ng certificates like chartered Engineer ka dito sa AU, something like that?
