Thanks. I sent an email to the CO. Sana sumagot sila. Nagtanong na rin ako kung pwede ko ireklamo yung agent ko dahil sila ang naglagay sa akin sa alanganin. I should have known better.

I also have a question with regards to ACS. Kailangan ba ulit ako magpaassess kung may bago akong trabaho pero related sa systems analyst. I got my positive assessment last year as a systems analyst but my letter states that I am skilled after sept 2011 pero di pa kasama yung bago kong trabaho? I am considering applying this september at state sponsorship para umabot yung points.</blockquote>

Hindi sya new company, actually same company pero nag-iba yung title ko. Anyway, might need to wait for another two years para maging 5 years na ang skilled experience. Might not to reapply again. Kaya ko natanong kasi pwede rin kasi ang state sponsorship. sa September 3 years of skilled na ang pwede sa akin. Yun nga lang kasi March, iba na ang title ko. Tinamaan talaga ng malas. Our status is not moving still at stage 3 even we submitted our old skills assessment result. I think we need to appy for formal review. But got to call ACS first.

Guys, just got my ACS skills assessment today.

AQF Bachelor Degree with major in computing

2 years was removed from my work experience from the total of 8 years work experience that I passed for Skills Assessment.

I still have 6 years for my work experience.

Next milestone will be IELTS.

Makisingit lang, mukang di basis ang grade sa assessment. Yung assessment ko last November 2012 pa at diploma lang din binigay sa akin. BSCS course ko sa STI Caloocan at di sa pagmamayabang eh mataas mga grades ko, nasa 1.5 overall average ko. Malapit na mag-expire assessment this coming november kaya baka magpa-assess ulit ako pro try ko naman ibang occupation. From Software Engineer to Analyst Programmer naman, namali kasi ako intindi dati sa work description ng SoftEng akala ko eh programmer lang yan yun pala consider as Software Architect pala sya, baka kako factor din yan sa pag-assess.

Nor have I seen any official info re school secs.</blockquote> This information is non specific of the skills Assessing body. You will need to refer to the Australia Country Education Profile (CEP). CEP is a list of Universities in a specific country (e.g. Philippines) https://aei.gov.au/Services-And-Resources/Services/Country-Education-Profiles/about-cep/Pages/default.aspx

Unfortunately, an access is required for you to see the complete list.

So i have prepared for you a basic guideline, see below:

Section 1 – Leading and autonomous institutions

Section 2 – Deregulated and re-accredited institutions

Section 3 – Other institutions

Universities under CEP Section 2 with a

Bachelor’s degree qualification from the Philippines

4 years full-time

120-185 credits

Average grade of 1.00 to 2.00, (A to B, or more than 85%)

Is equivalent to AQF Bachelor Degree

Bachelor Degree qualification from the Philippines

4 years full-time

120-185 credits

Average grade of 2.00 to 3.00 (below B, or below 85%)

Is equivalent only to AQF Advanced Diploma

Universities under CEP Section 3 with a

Bachelor Degree

4 years full-time

120-185 credits

Is equivalent only to AQF Diploma

Bachelor Degree in a professional discipline

4 or 5 years full-time

120-200 credits

Here’s the thing, DIBP and ACS are 2 different authorities. ACS requires number of work experience depending on the relevance of your educational qualification on your nominated occupation, which is not the case for DIBP. If you don’t mind me asking, ano ba nakalagay sa ACS assessment nio, was it highlighted ba na indi nila kinonsider yung Master’s degree.

Ang problem kasi kung mentioned sa assessment mo ung Masters degree mo and yet Diploma pa din according ke ACS, then u should claim points only for Diploma otherwise you can get an opinion from VETASSESS.

Excerpt from http://www.immi.gov.au/Visas/Pages/189.aspx under Points Test:

“The relevant assessing authority for your nominated occupation can usually determine whether your qualifications are of a standard that is comparable to a relevant Australian qualification. If the relevant assessing authority that conducts your skills assessment cannot give you an opinion about your qualifications, contact Vocational Education Training and Assessment Services.”

Finally our CO replied advising us the ANZCO codes she(yess! its a she.) recommended us to choose to nominate were listed in the CSOL of ACS website but i'm afraid it was not in CSOL of DIBP which will prevent us from applying a visa or she asked us if we would like to remain with our nominated occupation. If we choose to nominate to retain us on our ANZCO 261311 better to advise her to refer with the old skills assessment we have been sent which my hubby's approved in 2011 co'z we doesn't know how CO's think anyway or how she will assessed us further nor what are their basis either. Minsan kasi ang labo ng result ng skills assessment nila these days...sorry CO's.

We requested her(CO) to provide us the CSOL link where she says her recommended occupations/ANZCO that she thought was closely related to my hubby's job description where found so we can choose what ANZCO code should we pick so we can apply a visa.

Parang walang common sense kasi si Ms. CO kaya nga gusto namin i-try mag migrate pinapipili kami sa hindi listed sa CSOL o SOL ng DIBP.

@Xiaomau82 - they did not mention anyting bout my mba so i emailed them. They replied, they cannot provide opinion cos mba is non ict. Kaya bachor lng ni assess so, aqf diploma ako and less 5 years wrk experience 🙁

ok namn pala e, then get the opinion from VETASSESS. Tas cguro kung pwede include mo ung correspondence mo with ACS.
