Hi po. I am planning to have my ACS skills re-assessment because it is about to expire this coming October 2014. I am half-hearted whether to include my Masters Degree (transcript) even though i only earned 18 units aside from my Bachelor's Degree hoping that this will make a difference. Any comments or suggestions? Thank you.

i dont think it would make any difference since indi completed ung master’s degree. Saka indi ba ICT related ung bachelor’s degree mo?

Napa CTC ko na rin po yung mga Employment Certificates ko and all the other requirements(Passport, Birth Cert, Diploma and TOR).</blockquote> anu po bang course nio? RPL is for those na non-ICT ung course.

@Xiaomau82: Oh, i see... ICT related naman po ang bachelor's degree ko kaya lang po (BSCS) AQF Advance Diploma major in computing lang ang assessment sa akin which is 10 points lang . Naisip ko lang na baka pwede i-include kahit na units earned lang ang meron ako hoping maging Bachelor ung eduacational qualification ko.. 🙂.

Bakit ganun, nag fifill up ako ng form sa ACS, tapos i clicked save. Sabi magpapadala daw ng password sa email ko, pero wala parin ilang minutes na nakakalipas haha. excited lang. wala din sa spam 🙁

Is it ok to just create a new application instead of recall saved application kasi wala pa naman akong narereceive na email. Sinubukan ko lang i-save e, e nasa contact details part palang ako. haha

I think the bigger problem here is that your work experience is deducted at least 5 years to offset the lack of a Bachelor's Degree. Which basically means you won't be able to claim points for work experience.

@ios_dev: Ay, that would be terrible!!!! I already have an assessment kaya lang it's about to expire na this coming October. Kulang pa kasi ang points ko kya i'm wondering if tataas ang work experience points ko since mag-8 years na din naman ako this November... from 10 to 15 points.

I have read a thread na nagbabawas sila ng work experience? Is it true?

Hello again po. Ok lang po ba na yung Certified True Copy is nasa likod? Iscan ko na lang po ba ung front and back? Tinanong ko po kasi yung gumawa nung CTC sabi nya sa likod lang daw pwede po e.

Unfortunately, it is true. ACS credited all 9 years of my work experience but had to deduct 5 years due to my AQF Associate Degree. That left me with 4 years experience which means I could only claim 5 points.

You can see in your ACS results when your actual experience starts to count:

"The following employment after June 2010 is considered to equate to work at an appropriately skilled level and relevant to 261311 (Analyst Programmer) of the ANZSCO Code."

So in my case, my "experience" starts from June 2010 until date of ACS submission (June 2014).

@ios_dev if you dont mind, anong degree mo dito sa Pinas and san ka graduate? May fixed number of years ba na deduction based sa qualification na bigay ni acs? Or ung nasa list eh minimum yun? For example Bachelors degree bigay nila possible ba na more than 2 years ang bawa nila?

I got my BS Computer Science from AMA University (QC Campus). I know some people who went to the same school and was awarded a Bachelor's Degree. I think I got the Associate Degree because I had bad grades (still unsure).

Associate Degree holders automatically gets a 5 year deduction while Bachelor's get deducted 2 years. It's possible to get more deductions (for any degree) if your work experience does not align with your nominated ANZCO job description.
