Ah talaga? Haha sige tignan ko nga yun. Lapit na din ako mag submit ng documents sa ACS. Either end of August or 1st week of September. Collecting all requirements lang, tapos nagpapalipas lang ng mga araw para ma-meet ko yun 5 year requirement ng ACS sa work experience. In doubt kasi ako if sa Group A or Group B ako mapupunta. So just to be sure assume ko na, na sa Group B ako. Meron kasi ako 2 year course sa Sydney, tapos yun school ko naman dito na I finished a 4 year ICT course is under section 3. So hindi ko sure if they will assess it under Group A or B. Update update na lang ako sa progress ng application ko. 🙂 Thanks sa lahat ng nagsh-share ng information dito and sa Philippines.com.au

Okay here is what I have so far.

Photocopy of Passport - notarized
Photocopy of Birth Certificate from NSO (SECPA) - notarized
Certified True Copy of College Diploma stamped and with dry seal from university registrar - 3 original copies from registrar's office (bait niya ^^)
Certified True Copy of College Transcript of Records stamped and with dry seal also from university registrar - 3 original copies also (w/ signature niya pa pala, bait hindi ko na need pa-photocopy pa and notarize, nakatipid)
Certificate of Employment from 1st job. Called my boss and requested for a customized CoE and I told them I need it for my visa application. Mabait naman the CoE includes everything I need for ACS and DIAC. Complete letterhead, position, details of employment whether fulltime/parttime & permanent/temporary, working hours per week, some duties and responsibilities, salary.
Certificate of Employment from 2nd job. Same as above. Buti na lang mababait sila. 🙂 Probably because I left the companies in good terms.

What's left:

Document of duties and responsibilities from my 1st, 2nd & 3rd company. I already mentioned it to my current and old bosses, and they told me just bring them the documents and they will sign them.
CoE from current employer. Have to wait til around end of August to meet the 5 year work experience requirement. 🙂

I'm very much excited with this. Long way to go. Focus muna sa ACS. Hihi. Parang mahihirapan ako sa writeup ng duties and responsibilities since most terms ng trabaho natin redundant. Haha. Mauubusan ako ng words and terms para mapahaba un document. 🙁

@Bryann So ibig sabihin di na kailangan mag-send ng docs sa DIAC? nde ba yon tulad ng ACS? hehehe. Mejo di ko pa msyado inaaral yung DIAC eh. certification of skills muna ako.

I just sent my documents yesterday thru Registered Mail. Sana makuha ng ACS in 2 weeks.

Kaya mo yan @Bryann! Ako na-stress ng husto nung mag-send na. Hahaha! I'm just waiting for ACS to get my documents. I will check again my status of application after 2weeks since yun ung time frame ng registered mail to Australia.

@katlin924 Yes. If online application no need to send the docs. Hindi sya kapareho ng ACS.

Btw, mas maganda yun scanned documents lagi colored. I've read na if hindi colored eventhough original copy, need to be certified or notarized. 🙂 Kaya nga ako un mga documents ko from employment and school, nirequest ko talaga i-print sa colored. And yun logo / letterhead if meron yun company is colored din. 🙂

hello, sa mga nakapagpa assess na sa ACS...saktong 12 weeks ba bago nila ipadala ang result or may chances na mas maikli or mas matagal? Thanks advance!

Hi @Bryann! question lng... dba sa COE mu included na ung duties and responsibilities? bakit kailangan mu pa gumawa ulit ng document of duties and responsibilities sa 1st, 2nd and 3rd company mu? i'm referring to #1 in your list sa "what's left". is this something you're doing extra? coz i don't see it sa list of requirement sa ACS... just want to make sure na this is just something you wanted to do extra on your end and not a necessary requirement by ACS. Thanks!

@ylai It depends because it says there at the PASAGuidelines document that employment references should be detailed. But since most COEs contains only basic information about your employment, and does not include detailed duties and responsibilities. So depending on this, you may or may not need an additional document containing those.

i see... clarification lng, especially to those who have already submitted to ACS, gaano ba ka detailed ung information? kailangan ba enumerate mu ung roles mu for every project you're involved in? we're talking about different projects within the same company po

This is what I wanted to know as well. If anyone can provide a sample, it would be very much appreciated. From what I gather, you just need to write what you are doing exactly on the company so that ACS would get a better idea if you're skills are suitable or not. I think this might also affect the speed on which your skills assessment result comes out.

Hi @ylai and @Bryann, I just passed my application to ACS last week.

Based from what I understood, you just have to specify the roles and responsibilities you have for the duration of your stay in the company.

Example:

Kath - (official job role) Software Engineer

Projects involvement for 4 years includes:

Tester

Developer

Researcher

Programmer

Yan yung mga naging roles ko internally. Pero ang ginawa ko sa COE eh Job Description ng isang Software Engineer lang. Parang in general lang.

Yung sinasabi kse nila na for every project, baka kse applicable yan sa ibang company not particularly in the Philippines.

Example:

First Software Engineer ka, then after a year 2 years, nalipat ka naman sa Network Department, so naging Network Administrator ka.. so since nag-iba yung role mo, saka mo ngayon i-detailed yung description/responsibilities mo.

Well, yan yung gnawa ko.. malalaman natin kung mali kung hihingan ako ng additional requirements. Di pa nila nakukuha yung docs ko eh. Ayun!

@aolee i'm planning to include my course syllabus sa mga documents... nag request na nga ako sa school namin pero it's not mentioned sa PASA Guidelines

Hi guys! ...nag email ako sa acs dahil di ako mapalagay kung RPL ba at kelangan ko pang magsubmit ng mga project reports...tinanong ko rin kung kelangan nila ng course syllabus just to prove na related naman sa ICT yung course ko...sumagot sila na dun daw sa group B na criteria "weren't a major in ICT e.g. was not primarily ICT focused. " in directly parang sinagot nila na di kelangan ng course syllabus.

@issa thanks, tingin ko rin nga optional doc cya kasi wala sa guidelines, namention kasi ng friend ko na hinihingan cya ng agent nya ng course syllabus, told him hindi cya mandatory. just want to check with you too guys kung tama pagkaintindi ko or baka may na miss out kasi ako. thanks guys.

Detailed COE ung sinubmit ko sa ACS.

parang ganito:

Position: programmer

Project: credit risk, then naglagay ako ng short description ng project

Responsibilities: design new codes, provide uat support etc

Technology used: unix, sql.

so lahat ng project ko per company nilagay ko sa COe para sigurado. hehe

@aolee, issa, para san ang course sylabus? ksama ba to pag magsusubmit ka ng RPL?

nagsubmit din ako ng RPL, pero wala akong binigay na course sylabus/

2009 pa ako nagsubmit so di ko alam if bago na ang requirements ng ACS ngayon.

thanks Bonzi, that's also what i have in mind, may COE nako na draft ganyan rin content. sana enough na eto 🙂 as for the syllabus d ko rin alam bakit ung iba nag sasabi na isama daw.

@bonzi, graduate kasi ako ng engineering pero may minor subjects ako na related sa ICT. medyo naguluhan kasi ako kung sa "skills" or "RPL" ako dapat. kasi pag binasa mo naman yung criteria dun sa group B pasok naman ako sa "skills" kaya nag email ako sa kanila if they need the course syllabus to prove na may minor subjects akong related sa ICT.

@aolee, based dun sa sagot nila sa email ko, yes i would say na di sya mandatory.
