@BrizyFilo we are actually giving you the answer to your question. It's really up to you if you'll heed the advice as this will come in handy once you've experienced the process of applying for skills assessment at some point. My professional advice is, rather than refuting those who were kind enough to help out in the forum, I would rather concentrate on how you would be able to successfully obtain a permanent visa. Im sure you are aware that being on a 457 visa isn't an assurance of one's status in Australia. I can only assume this is the reason why you are on this forum yourself. All the best.

@BrizyFilo In as much as I want to take the 186 route since it is the easiest path for me, unfortunately, I have just been told by my employer that they are not sponsoring permanent resident visa. Hence, I don't really have a choice but to take the 189 route.

Anyhow, I have started gathering my documents -- requested several COE's from my previous companies. I have also booked my PTE exam for February and started browsing through review materials. Hopefully I could get a superior score to obtain maximum points.

I know this is going to be a bit tough for me given my circumstances, but I'm keeping my hopes high.

@BrizyFilo this is not dependent on the assessing officer. Everything is dependent of the applicant meeting the requirements. Otherwise everything is a joke then. Try to access the Australian Migration Regulation 1994 if you can. This contains the entire legislation about Australian immigration. Somewhere in those pages it will inform you that all assessing authorities are required by law to use the CEP as basis for assessing an applicant's qualification. Unfortunately, I cannot send you a link as the professional library I use is on subscription basis.

It would be interesting to know where the info you provided is coming from, is there also a link to it perhaps? 🙂

Magandang araw po sa lahat. Ako po ay bago dito sa grupo at pasensya na po kung marami akong katanungan. Dito ko po uumpisahan dahil ako po ay isang IT professional 33 yrs old working from 2005 as IT Helpdesk, Systems Engineer, IT Project Implementation Lead (mostly handling physical and virtual servers) at balak ko pong mag-apply ng visa 189 or 190. Hingi po sana ako ng tulong kung papano ang at san ako maguumpisa. Nabasa ko na kelangan magpa-assess sa ACS para aking skillset. Aware din po ako na kelangan ang mga COE's sa previous companies, Transcript of Record, Diploma, NSO birth certificate.

COE - Nabigyan na po ako ng COE galing sa dati kong employer. Generic COE po sya na nakalagay na pwede kung saan sya balak gamitin. Kelangan po ba specified ang roles and responsibilities?
TOR - kelangan po ba notarized ito?
IELTs or PTE?
Birth Certificate - kelangan po ba notarized ito?

Baka po meron sa inyo recently nakapag-apply ng visa, maari nyo po ba akong matulungan? Correct me if I'm wrong. Tama po ba bago makapag-apply ng visa dapat:

Passed ang assessment ng ACS
Passed and IELTs or PTE
Submitted and approved and EOI
Lastly, lodge the application online.

@twickn29zero steps needed to apply for visa.

alamin mo yung mga types ng visas 189,190,489(regional or relative sponsor)
check if aabot yung points mo by 60(but most likely pag minimum lang nakuha mong points malabo kang ma invite for ICT, should be al least 70 above)

-points are based on age,educational attainment, experience, english exam result, State sponsorship(if you will apply for 190/489)
alamin mo yung occupation kung saan swak ang work experience mo.
check mo yung occupation na swak sayo if eligible sya for visa 189/190/489
apply for assessment sa ACS

-Need mo ng Diploma/transcript of records/birth cert/COE's with job description

-all documents must be CTC before uploading sa ACS

6.take IELTS or PTE (you can do this while applying ACS)

7.if all goes well at napasa mo na yung IELTS/PTE at positive ang ACS mo then you can proceed sa EOI submission.

if na invite na yung EOI mo then proceed for visa lodging

regarding sa type of visa, I am leaning towards 189 and 190. if im not mistaken, 190 is state sponsored, tama po ba? 189? 489?
age 33, college graduate (BSIT) total of 12yrs in IT industry from IT Helpdesk (3yrs and 9mos) to Systems Engineer (8yrs). (IELTS/PTE) to follow pa.
aside from IT helpdesk/support and systems engineer, can you please enlighten me?

sa ACS assessment, nagrequest na ako ng COE ko sa previous employer ko, nabigyan ako pero wala pong job description. ano po kaya pwedeng gawin? ano po ibig sabihin ng CTC?
now i understand that IELTS/PTE is not required for ACS assessment. pero ano po ba ang kelangan kong itake? IELTS or PTE? ano po difference?
medyo klaro na saken na ACS and english test result is required for submission of EOI.
EOI is the gateway for visa submission.

sa experience nyo sir, around how much po ang budget for ACS assessment, english exam, EOI, visa application?

@renly2328 yes, it's 2. If you're average grade is 2.0 or higher it would most likely be assessed as equivalent to an Australian degree

Hi guys!

Sorry another question/s, we've read the following documents from ACS website:

Application Checklist
Skills Assessment Guidelines for Applicants - August 2017
Summary of Criteria - 2017

And eto po ang na-conclude namin na REQUIREMENTS na ipasa for SKILLS ASSESSMENT sa ACS:

1) NSO Birth Certificate or Passport

2) Diploma

3) TOR

4) COE - Detailed COE, with duties and responsibilities (as Employment Reference)

- But nung nagpa-assess ako sa isang Migration Agency, sabi nila need din ng:

5) CV (Australian Format)

6) Payslips (current and past payslips - which is weird??)

7) Training Certificates

8) Certification (SAP certified or ITIL certified)

Questions/Help Needed:

a.) Is numbers 5 to 7 true? Planning to submit by second week of February na po.

b.) May namiss ba akong documents na need? BS-IT Grad from Sec 1 school.

c.) Is there someone here who submitted Third Party Statutory document (with or without submitting COE) ?

Sagutin ko lang po yung mga alam ko from my end, nag proprocess pa lang din po ako ng requirements 🙂

3) Check the attached (ANZSCO Code Information - 2017 V4) - yan po yung occupation list na may job description para you can check which 'code' applies to you.

5) Try niyo po humingi ng "Detailed" COE. Kasi samin po, generic talaga binibigay, pero nung sinabi ko po na need ng 'detailed with duties and responsibilities', pinayagan naman po pero need ng approval ng previous manager. CTC is Certified True Copy (?)

6) Depende po sainyo, magkaiba po kasi format nila ng exam. Alam ko pa lang po sa PTE is computer based. (Planning to take this by March)

While IELTS (4 Sections: Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking), yung Writing and Speaking are assessed and graded by IELTS professional checker. 9.0 yung highest score na pwede mo po maachieve sa IELTS.

You need at least 7.0 per section (not average) to accumulate 10 points sa assessment.

@HELEN28 - salamat po Ma'am. Malaking bagay po ung reference na attachment na naishare nyo saken. Major concern ko is the COE na generic ang binigay saken. I guess, I will demand or request including the title and job description. I am IT Professional for more than 12 years. Last year, I had an assignment at Adelaide for 3months sa office namen doon. I had a temporary working visa back then and I had a tourist visa 2 yrs ago.

Graduated at FEU-East Asia College as BSIT. meron po bang points yung school and the course completed?

Meron po sila tinatawag na "Section 1/Section 2/3" school. May factor po yun pag nagpa-assess kayo sa ACS. Although di ko pa po yun nagawa, pero yun po ang nalaman ko sa pagbabasa. 🙂

Eto po check niyo po ulit etong attachments na to.

Ang advice po nila dito sakin is - if Section 1 school, most likely comparable siya sa Australia education.

Para po malaman yung section ng university, meron po may access sa list na yun dito sa forum. (May bayad po kasi)

Hindi naman need na AU format.. yung pinasa ko is yung CV na pinapasa ko sa mga company.
Hindi ako nagpasa ng payslip
for me no need but if you hindi naman hassle sayo just attach it na lang
if you are certified in any IT related and makakatulong sa application mo attached mo na lang din.

Question po, meron na po bang naka experience na magpa re assess? Reason is, you have additional working years experience. Paano po ang process na ginawa ninyo?

Hi, just a question po. May ACS na po ako pero nag change ako ng work this year . Paano po pala to? Do I need to update my EOI tapos ok lang ba di ako mag file ng new ACS? or Dapat update ko EOI and ACS at the same time? Medyo mahal lang kasi ACS pag uupdate ko eh. Thank you po.
