Just to clarify things, ACS or any other assessing authorities do not assess qualification level, that’s beyond their jurisdiction as this has to do with the department of education and training. All assessing authorities will only make reference to the CEP document. So do not get confused on skills assessment’s main purpose - it’s to assess your skills and not your qualification level.

In reference to my response previously to @jrmdcdc, it’s worth a try for reassessment since the assessment outcome is already expired. I don’t see any reason why ACS won’t recognise a bachelor qualification from a section 1 institution because they have to follow what CEP says. If they don’t then it’s worth questioning it. They do not have a say on this part of the assessment.

It used to be that qualifications from sec 2 universities can be recognised as equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree if the average GPA is at least 2.0 but CEP was recently updated in June so if university is section 2, it will never be equivalent to an AQF bachelors degree no matter how high the average GPA is unless the applicant has PRC licence. Policies and processes change unfortunately so one cannot compare results with other cases. No two cases are ever alike.

I definitely would double check that with the skills assessment authority rather contesting it. It needs to be clarified since at the end of the day, as also indicated on the outcome letter, the decision is an opinion only and DHA still has a final say on it.

It used to be that qualifications from sec 2 universities can be recognised as equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree if the average GPA is at least 2.0 but CEP was recently updated in June so if university is section 2, it will never be equivalent to an AQF bachelors degree no matter how high the average GPA is unless the applicant has PRC licence. Policies and processes change unfortunately so one cannot compare results with other cases. No two cases are ever alike.

hello po @RheaMARN1171933 yung partner ko po Mapua Makati (section 2) pero bachelor's degree po ang nakuha niya. though mapua intramuros po is in section 1.
As mentioned, the CEP was recently updated.

I missed to mention na sabay kami nagpaassess ng partner ko. nauna lang narelease result ko @RheaMARN1171933. may link ka po ng changes ng CEP? hinahanap ko din po kasi

I work in IT with 4 yrs of experience and a graduate from UST BS-IT. Is it worth trying to go immediately for ACS skills assessment or should I wait for now and build my work experience further?

U mean from July 30, 2016 onwards po ang pwede ko iclaim? Yes still with the same employer.

July 29 po ako nagpasa, tas ngaun ko nareceive ung result.

U mean from July 30, 2016 onwards po ang pwede ko iclaim? Yes still with the same employer.
July 29 po ako nagpasa, tas ngaun ko nareceive ung result.

salamat. medyo tricky kasi po yung partner ko BSIT sa Mapua Makati (section 2) pero bachelor po ang nakuha. This July 2020 lang.

baka ang naconsider na school is un main under sec 1? i don’t know din baka nagchange ulit ng rules, hindi n ko nag-appeal kasi baka masayang lang. if ever nagchange new assessment nlng ulit. ☺️
