Hello. I’m starting to gather documents for the ACS assessment but I would like to get an idea of my chances and if it’ll give a positive result:

BS ECE mapua graduate (took cisco as specialization)
Worked as NOC engineer for 3 yrs
Shifted to systems analyst support but closely related to supporting security solutions (11 months)
currently working now as a cyber security professional as an incident response analyst for almost 6 years
Almost 10 years of work experience

My question is, how many years can I claim given this profile? For those that graduated from mapua with ece as degree, did it count as an ict major?

Then you only claim employment experience relevant to your nominated occupation

Regarding po sa Payment Evidence. Sa first 2 companies ko kasi diko nakeep payslip ko, bale meron lang ako eh ilan lang (wala ung unang payslip ko). Ang tanong ko po ay possible ba na ITR at Philhealth/SSS lang ipasa ko? mukhang impossible din kasi yung bank statement ko kasi 8 years ago pa un. Salamat sa sasagot

@kookieyoon my occupation was ICT security specialist, based on what you mentioned, you can only get minimum points kc ACS will only assess the relevant experience where you actually did security work. also, your degree is different from your work (ECE is not Cyber Security). You may be required to provide Report of Prior Learning (RPL) to prove that you know security even if your degree is different.

@Sid RPL - request for prior learning? if yes, gumawa ako nyan 4 years ago and naapprove naman ng ACS. how can I help?

Question lang po regarding TOR. Need pa ba kumuha ng new copy from my school or okay na yung lumang copy na kinuha ko after graduation. May konting stains na yung paper at nakaindicate yung date kung kelan na issue (10yrs ago). TIA

Lumang copy is fine (got mine way back in 2010), so long as it's still readable and its authenticity wont be questioned.

Ex. portion where the signatories is still clear, all the texts are not washed out due to being an aged paper, etc...

Syempre mas ok kung kumuha ka ng bago, for your peace of mind, kung hindi ka rin talaga mapakali. Just do whatever would give you it. 😉

Question po, my friend is an IE graduate at ang tanging naging work nya e IT since 2005. Ask ko lang po if need pa ba nya ng RPL or no need napo?

@yhanie_17 from my understanding, ACS is the only authorised entity to request for report of prior learning (RPL). but based on trends and in my experience, ACS will ask RPL if your degree is not the same as your work experience/skills you are applying for. in your example, IE is not IT so in my opinion, most likely yes need ng RPL.

Hello. Anyone na SAP Master Data Analyst dito? Di po kasi ako sure kung tamang sa ACS ako dapat magpa assess. I'm an IE graduate then 12 yrs as Master data analyst.

Question lang po sa mga nakapagsubmitt na ng assessment nila. Yung Diploma and TOR po ba need na ipa-CAV (Certification, Authentication and Verification for DFA) po ba before i-scan for submission? Or if not, yung original copy po need ba ipa-notarized before scanning and submitting? Ano po ba yung mga need na nakanotarized bukod sa Stat Dec?

Hi Ciacia, I can't say for the Diploma kase certification of completion yung ni-release sakin but for the TOR, as is ko lang pinasa. Kung ano yung sinend sa'kin ng school, scan ko lang then yun inupload ko.

Yes i did the same i submitted sss and pagibig employer contrubutions and i got positive skilled assestment.

Hi Olsie17, as is lang sinubmit ko kung ano yung nasa list ni ACS. Kase if nasunod yung template, nandun na dapat yung roles & responsibilities for a particular role. 🙂
