Hello guys, hope you can advise in my case.

I'm a graduate of BSBA from a section 3 school.

I have 5 years corporate work experienced (non-IT).

I'm currently working now as IT Business Analyst for 2 years.

I am planning to nominate ANZSCO 261111 - ICT Business Analyst as my occupation.

Since my course was non-IT degree and from section 3. I'm planning to take master's in information system (1 year program) from UP Open university, a section 1. Will this guarantee me a bachelor or masters equivalent? or do you recommend other school or program?

I really want to avoid deduction in my relevant work experience as I only have two years IT exp. at the moment. I assumed my 5 years corporate experience is not relevant hence they will not consider it.

Anyone here that got their master's from section 1 school and was recognized as Master's or bachelor equivalent by ACS?

Hello po,

Kapag ba na credit ng ACS, kahit lagpas na sa 10 years pwede pa isama sa lodging to claim points or wag na isama para safe?

ex.

I submitted ACS nuong 2022, so na credit pa yung 9 months from 2012 experience,

pero now lang ako na invite, 2023 na so lagpas na 10 years ago pa yung 9 month experience na yun.

May naka experience ba d2 na nag shift ng career from IT and and pina assess sa ACS is ung previous work rather than ung current work? Anong result?
May naka experience ba d2 na nag file ng separate EOIs for 2 different skills assessments VETASSESS and ACS pwede ba?

Background:

6+ years from that was as an Application Support (Jul 2012 to Jan 2019)

4+ years from that is currently as a Quality Auditor (Feb 2019 to present)

I am also planning to take VETASSESS once I reached 5-6 years of experience because of my current job description, but I got concerned that if I do that, I might not get points in my educational qualification because my current job description is aligned to Business Management and not in IT.

hello! need your advise po sana and recommendations. Magsubmit po ako for reassessment (previous assessment expired with positive outcome).

Also changed job and location. Do I still need to upload documents for my current job even though hindi ko naman ipapa assess ung current job role ko?

Kailangan ko ba mag upload ng new COE with the end date or ok na ung currently uploaded documents on file?

ang hinihingi lang po sa visa application is yung 10 years prior sa invite, so I suggest wag na isama yung beyond sa 10 years kahit nacount ng ACS

di ko pa naranasan, pero may mga nabasa ako dito before, na nagpaassess ng part ng work experience nila sa ACS, so pwede naman na yung previous work lang ipaassess mo, since required lang naman ni ACS is at least 2 years work experience
Pwede naman, independent naman ang mga EOI from each other. Ensure lang na merong corresponding skills assessment for both EOIs

If di na ipapaassess yung new job, then no need to send credentials nung new job, pero para dun sa previous, kelangan mo pa din magsubmit kasi considered as new application na yan

Meaning po sis need ko pa din upload ung ITR, payslips, sss, pag ibig etc since nag start to end ako dun sa previous employer even though andun na po sya sa previous successful assessment ko po?

or okay na ung past 2 yrs na lang as addtl document, since 24 mos has passed na po ng nag expire sya.

yes, treat it as new application talaga, so lahat need mo iupload ulet. di kasi nagrerenew ang ACS ng assessment eh. if ever di ka makapag upload kasi nandun na yung previous file mo, update mo lang file name ng mga docs mo

Thank you @jinigirl I noticed in your signature, you requested for review request to ACS to consider bachelor's degree, what was the previous result? did you pay extra? do you have a reference I can refer to in case this happens to me? TIA

ACS initially assessed my ECE degree as Diploma since I'm from section 2 school. Then late ko lang nalaman na pwede pala ako magsend ng PRC board certificate kahit IT yung work ko. Yun kasi ang akala ko before, na hindi relevant yung board exam ko since IT work ang pinapaassess ko.

So, nagpareview ako ng application (may fee sya), then updated result arrived after 7 weeks: bachelor's degree na yun assessment sakin. 🙂 very crucial siya for me kasi sa diploma degree, I need 6 years exp whereas nung naging bachelor, naging 4 years deduction nalang sa total work exp ko. Plus yung extra points pag bachelor's degree 🙂

What ANZSCO code did you use? I'm a bit hesitant to use the 263212 ICT Support Engineer, since it requires PRC, though it's closely related. I guess it will still depend on my COE w/ JD, I'll just wait. But I wanna know the experience of others or if they used a different ANZSCO code. TIA

We are planning to submit an ACS assessment for my brother, he is working as network engr sa Pinas going 5 yrs na this yr on July.

As per reading the comment here if graduate in a school categorise as level 2 or 3 which I think STI is 2 yata even my brother is graduate ng Bs IT sa STI he maybe consider only as Diploma. Question ko ano po ba effect nito sa points ilan na lng maibbgay?

Hi, I think most likely 0 points on overseas work experience since you'll get less than 3 years of experience by default.

4 years 8 months (considering July pa sya mag 5 years) minus 2 years (Training period) = 2 years 8 months Skilled work experience

and probably another 2-4 years deduction because of section 3 school

Then diploma (10 points) for education because of section 3 school.

Let say hypotetically 5yrs na ung work experience nya, Does it mean if to generate the points to apply skilled visa my brother will get 10pts as diploma im acs assessment pero 0pts in experience?

Kung section 2 / 3 school na BS IT, ang max points lang nya sa education is 10 points (Diploma)
Then sa work exp, since diploma yung equivalent ng degree niya, heto yung ifofollow ng ACS:

Meaning, minimum requirement nya is 5 years work experience para maging suitable yung work experience nya. Equivalent ito sa 0 points. Magkaka 5 points lang sya pag may +3 years na sya on top of 5 years na idededuct.
