I am residing overseas; do I need to come to Singapore to apply for COC?

Applicants residing overseas can apply and pay for COC via the eCOC webpage. Upon successful submission of the application, the Acknowledgment Slip must then be printed out and mailed to COC office, along with the applicant’s hardcopy fingerprint impressions taken by an authorised institution at the country of residence.

Below is a walk-through of the process:

Applicants Residing Overseas

Step 1: Apply for COC at the SPF eServices webpage

Step 2: Complete the online forms & make payment via Credit/Debit Card or I-Banking

Step 3: Print the Acknowledgement Slip

Step 4: Take fingerprint impressions at an authorised institution

Step 5: Mail the Acknowledgement Slip and hardcopy fingerprint impression to COC office

Step 6: COC office will mail the COC upon receipt of the Acknowledgement Slip and hardcopy fingerprint impression

Hi all!

We are ex- SG PRs, now in AU about to lodge 190.

Dun sa appeal application kelangan Ng NRIC/FIN. Do we put our old NRIC kahit di na valid?

Hope someone can help. I emailed them early this morning, Wala pa reply eh.

@hashtagisaw yup, just use your old NRIC. In my case since hindi ako PR, I used my old FIN# coz wla na din ako sa SG since 2yrs ago. So far ok naman. I think even if d na sya active, they'll just use it to verify your records in SG. You'll need that to login kasi and in your E-Appeal, you'll need to provide scanned copies (front and back) of your NRIC.

Hi good evening po sa inyo ask ko lang po ng-apply nku appeal for certificate of clearance online sa sg nung monday pgdtng po b ng friday or before friday mgeemail n po b kgd sila?

And ok lang po ba un ung id n gnmit ko is government id sa philippines yung pinasa ko online sa appeal wala ksi ko pic ng old nric ko.

Then last po after marecieve ung approval anu po b mga step by step n gagawin po? Help nmn po dyn sa mga nka experience po. Need po ksi Ng US embassy dto manila ngapply po ksi ko fiancee visa.. salamat po

@SuperSerb just print the acknowledgement email you received after you lodged your visa, that should be enough as a proof for the Singapore police to grant your E-appeal..

btw, the step by step is ...--lodge eappeal> after eappeal approve, apply for COC> then book for an appointment for fingerprinting...on that day makukuha mo na din agad yung police clearance

@SuperSerb yes bro...if in case di ka pa naglodge, ITA will do, pero kung may adult dependent ka, malabo maaprove ang eappeal nya

and yes pwede mo na rin submit application mo without SG COC, kapag di mo nasecure before you have a CO, for sure hihingin din naman sayo yan...pero after you lodge and makakuha ka agad, it is adviseable na iapload mo na rin agad before ka magkaCO for faster processing ng papers mo

@SuperSerb I suggest punta ka nalang ng SG for fingerprinting sis kung gusto mo mabilis. In my case, since nasa Pinas na ako based, nagpafingerprint ako sa NBI then pinadala ko via DHL yung docs to SG Police. Ang tagal ng processing eh. It's been 2 weeks wala pa din yung clearance namin. I addressed it to be couriered to my friend's SG address. When I called to follow-up sabi nila 10-15 working days daw ang processing before marelease yung COC. If you'll have it couriered to an address in PH, I think that will take another 2-3 weeks siguro kasi Singpost gamit nila.

So if you can travel to SG to have your fingerprints taken, I think that's the best and fastest option para makuha mo agad COC mo on the same day.
