Registered Nurses from the Philippines who want to gain registration here in Australia needs to study first. They can either:
Take the BRIDGING COURSE. (Requires 450 hrs of work experience within the past 5 yrs and a certain mark must be met for the English test)
Duration is only 3 months. If you can't find an employer to sponsor you, you'll have to go back to the Philippines.
Regardless though you can still apply for PR once you've finish your course.
Do the CONVERSION COURSE.
This may take a year or 2 depending on the uni you'll be enrolling in. After finishing the course, you might have to apply for another visa if you want to stay in Australia to finish lodging your papers.
Please take note that you somehow need to have an idea of how many points you'll get for the PR. With the bridging course, it wouldn't count as an Australian qualification so if you're lacking points, maybe Conversion course would be more suitable for you as it's considered an Australian qualification which may add up to your needed points for the PR application.
