hahaha! ayoko ko pa nga sana umalis kasi hindi pa tapos ang amortization na binabayaran ko pero time is running out at mapapaso na ang visa...sakto lang din at school age na ang anak namin. hindi na need ng yaya. hehe...plan namin mag-tourist mode kapag malamig-lamig na. ang iinneeet na ngayon eh. 🙂

kahapon nagtanong ako sa UAE Exchange ng pagpapadala sa Aussie bank, 45aed pala ang charge tapos pagdating ng Aus, may charge pa ulet na 15-20AUD depende sa bank. puro charge huh. kuripot mode lang. hehe.

D2 kmi sa Canberra, ACT..san ang destinasyon nyo d2?..ang ginawa nmin dati, may account kc kmi sa HSBC-Dubai, dun nmin nilagay ung pera nmin..may branches cla d2 so mas mababa ung charges nila kc prang local bank din cia.. tpos ni transfer n lng nmin sa ANZ d2..try mo inquire sa HSBC dyan kung magkano ung charges nila per transaction d2..

@lock_code2004... ahh, kaya pala alam mo rin ang mga lugar sa Abu Dhabi. 🙂 2010 kami nag-initial entry. a few months after visa grant.

@akino.... yan sana ang una kong plan kasi may HSBC account rin ako. kaya lang, hindi helpful ang taga-HSBC Abu Dhabi. hindi ako ine-entertain sa inqueries ko. saka akala ko kapag pinadaan sa bank, mas mababa kasi di ba, iba ang conversion rate ng mga banko. nway, try ko na lang ulet i-compare ang conversion.

...sabi sa ACT daw ang may lowest unemployment rate ah. a fellow-forumer/friend of mine ay sa ACT ngayon. ang bruho, ang lucky! Sa Engineers Australia na nagta-trabaho. 🙂 sabi ko nga, yun ang gift sa kanya ni Lord kasi pinahiran sya ng tadhana dito sa UAE. hehe. i-chismis ko daw ba. lagot ako, baka mabasa nya ito. hihihi.

@cind3r3lla, sbi nila mas mataas din ang rate nila d2 compare sa other states...may nakausap kc ako na student, nurse cia taking up his bridging course..part time cleaner cia sbi nya ung rate nya daw sa sydney 17/hr lng pero d2 sa canberra 22/hr kya lumipat cia d2 sa canberra..

Ah ok ah EA sya work, d2 ata ung headofc nila..WA sponsored pla kayo

@cind3r3lla hopefully di na rin magtaas ng rate ang nire-rentahan namin dito sa Dubai, ayaw ko na maglipat-bahay nanaman. Ang sakit sa katawan. hehe. Bina-box na rin namin yung ibang gamit na sigurado kami na di na dadadalhin sa Au, para maipadala na sa Pinas.

Before I applied for a visa, nag-try na rin ako mag-apply thru seek.com. Marami ang tumatawag, kaso they always prefer nga yung may visa. Maybe, sa last quarter of this year, i'll try applying ulit.

Naka-pag open na po kayo ng bank account online? paano pa ba? and what bank? "Tell me." 🙂

@langgam37.. nice naman, may tumatawag na, wala pang visa. ibig sabihin, malaki ang potential mong makahanap ng work while still offshore kapag may visa na. =D>

online lang yung application ng bank account. there are 3 na nabasa ko na nag-a-accept kahit wala pa physically ng Aus, Commonwealth Bank, NAB at Westpac.

I chose NAB over the 2 other banks kasi walang fee kapag hindi mo na-comply yung minimum monthly balance. after mo ma-fill-up-an yung online application form, a day or two lang, makaka-receive ka na ng email from them containing your bank account details.

kaya lang, you only apply for bank accounts at least a year or a few months before your scheduled na dating sa Australia huh. dapat pagkarating mo kasi dun, punta ka agad kasi sa bank at i-present yung sarili mo and your passport. malum, my friend? hehe

Hello po! My job offer ako from Dubai. Ask ko lang sana what does it mean about inclusive of accommodation, transpo, food, etc. Will that mean na hindi nila shoulder yung expenses ko for house, food and transpo? Thank you!

This is their email:

"Your starting salary will be Dhs. 4,000/= (inclusive of accommodation, transportation, food, etc...)"

Hi all! Hope you could help me decide on this. I am having doubt to accept the job offer po eh. Yun nga, parang mababa. Tho I admit I lack experience which is 3 years lang, I am a CPA and MBA too. Here's their email po:

Regarding the information you read about an average salary of an entry level accountant in UAE (Dhs. 5,900/=) on net which is just statistic report and does not mean accurate.

Concerning the cost of living in Dubai (normal one), I will personally tell you that you are in a wrong figure. I have made a sample list of monthly expenses that you need to cover your costs, such as:

Accommodation (Bed Space) - Dhs. 600/= (this type of bedspace is above average

and located in area which accessible for everything like mall, restaurant, supermarket, hospital, bank etc.)

Electricity and Water Bill - Dhs. 130/= maximum charge for summer season

if you dont mind, would you kung saang area ang office?
may mga friends ka ba sa dubai, who can help you pagdating mo dun?like looking for a place to stay...etc... ?
check mo ang dubizzle.com for room/bedspace rents.. medyo alanganin yung bedspace 600aed na sinasabi nya... that means 4 kayo sa room... but you can find 600 bedspace na 2 lang kayo sa room, pero malayo sa dubai city..

in my opinion, medyo mababa young offer nil a sayo considering na CPA ka pa. i don't know about the 600dhs bedspace but I think masyado mababa jun. yes. you might find one but the condition might not be that conducive for you. But it still depends sa lifestyle mo, if you think you can make both ends meet then why not... catch lang, 3 years might be too long. what if di mo say magustuhan? can you terminate contract? read the contract and see if it will work both ways, at di one sided lang. just my thought.

@lock_code2004, hello sir.... few words of wisdom naman please. medyo confused na kami what path to take.

just today, on my 4th try, lumabas na yung result ng june 8 exam ko. i got L-7.5, R,W & S - 7.0; obs 7.0. ok na.... kaya lang given this still, 50pts + 5 SS = 55 pa lang ako so need ko pa try ulet to get 8.0 to get at least 20pts sa ielts.

ang baba na kasi ng score ko sa age kasi 40 y/o na ko and 5 years lang nacount sa employment ko kasi di relevant yung 5years of teaching architecture sa inaaplyan ko na draftsman. and my other experience outside 10 years di na daw counted sabi ng agent ko.

di ko kasi alam san kukunin yung kulang na 5 pts. otherwise, me may opt to apply for visa 489 para mabigyan kami ng 10pts. kaya lang temporary visa yun, need pa namin to wait for another 2 years bago makapag apply ng PR. what do you reckon sir? advise naman please.
