@lock_code2004 Gusto ko rin magpa-remark pero aabutin na ng Skillselect. Anyway, oks na rin yun kasi kailangan ko pang mag-apply ng SS. Pag na-approve ng Victoria saktong 65 pts ako.

i know what you mean, kami target din namin sana is OB=8 para in case abutan ng Skill Select meron kaming advantage na extra 10 points... pero since 7 lang OB ni hubby exact lang na 65 points kami (well granting na ma-approve kami ng SS sa SA)....... todo todo tong panalangin talaga

@metaform medyo pala nalito ako sa scoring ng IELTS for language ability, hindi ba tinitingnan nila OB lang hindi per competency.. so kung ang OB mo is 8 then superior language ka which means 20 points, why mo sabi 10 points ka lang

kinabahan kasi ako because 6.5 yung ibang competency ni hubby ibig bang sabihin we need to re-take?

@baronann I hate to break it out to you pero based sa current points test, in order to be awarded 10 points, the candidate should have at least 7 in each category. See page 2 of http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/pdf/points-test.pdf

@metaform my fear exactly.... well, i should check for the next schedule now. One more question pa, for SS Application, ganun din ba ang requirement? Sa SA kasi sabi kelangan ang IELTS is 7, not sure kung OB or each component din?

@baronann Suggest ko lang po, sa IDP ang next test date ay May 12. Sa BC kasi next month na yung susunod na General Training exam. Check mo po dito http://www.idp.com/ielts/taking-the-ielts-test.aspx

Tiningnan ko yung IELTS requirement ng SA para sa 131112 Sales and Marketing Managers, and it looks like they require a 7 in each band. Check mo po sa list dito http://www.immigration.sa.gov.au/applyonline/skilled/planning_level_status.php

@Metaform thanksies po. Yep nagbasa basa ulit ako ng mga links, and sadly mukhang yun nga kelangan namin mag-retake. Spoke to hubby and we decided to sit down with our MA tomorrow and discuss the what ifs should we not be able to file before july 1. Since wala pa rin naman yung AIM results namin.

Grabe din pala talaga etong journey nating ito, ang daming investments talaga, financial, efforts and syempre emotional. Pero i still believe God is in control, and we're not losing heart. We know, in HIS time alll will fall in its place.

Hi, ask ko lang po kung may kilala kayo na nakapag touch down na sa Aussie tapos e bumalik rin sa UAE after mag touch down. Hingi sana ako ng tips.

@kitty - marami akong officemates na ginawa yan.. mostly mga accountants.. nag-apply while in UAE... nag initial entry sa AU, stayed there for atleast several weeks, then bumalik ulit sa UAE para mag-ipon... ung iba 2yrs bago finally nag settle sa AU... 😉

May kilala naman ako na nagpunta sa Canada for several months para i-settle yung bahay nila doon, tapos bumalik dito sa UAE para bumili ng big-ass TV. Yun din ang pina-plano ko kung sakaling makapasa pero wala akong mahanap na movers na nagsi-ship from Dubai to Oz.

Hello, guys! I am new to this site. I have been reading your posts and am happy to learn that you are all here in the UAE. I am still starting to process but due to my IELTS (7 for SW, 6.5 for LR), guess I have to retake all over again. Nurse po ako and at the moment wala akong idea on where to start. I was advised to check with migrant agents. I tried and I found one in India but I am still hesitant. Gusto ko munang mag inquire more from people like you guys who have more ideas on this. First thing I have to do dw is take a bridging program and the agent is telling me to contact them as soon as naka sit na ulit ako ng IELTS. Please enlighten me kung ano talaga muna gagawin ko.

Hi @denise! glad to hear that another fellow from UAE is applying for Oz! if you have time to read po and have patience to research, I suggest po na wag na kayong kumuha ng agent kasi sometimes sila pa ang nagiging cause ng delay ng application mo and it's a bit expensive. But if you have the resources naman to pay the agent, walang time to check and read, and you think your case is complicated, then might as well get the services of an agent. Most of the applicants start from here http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/booklets/1119.pdf It will walk you through your application.
