Anong klaseng sponsorship ba ang ia-apply ninyo? Kung state, medyo alanganin na dahil one month na lang ang natitira. Kung relative-sponsored, aba'y pagkalabas ng IELTS result nyo sa second week ng June, lodge na kaagad ng visa! I suggest you gather your docs now and start filling out the online application para naka-umang na. Cheers!

Thanksies @Metaform, napaiyak talaga ako nung nakita namin letter from AIM kasi sa mga readings ko, bihira ang nakakapasa sa AIM kasi very meticulous talaga sila, so Praise God talaga.

Actually we're opting for SA state sponsorship, sa understanding ko sa explanation nung MA when we met with him last Saturday, as long as maipasok namin ang SS application before June 25, we can file the application to DIAC prior to July 1 with a note na merong pending SS application. Im not really sure kung uubra yun- theory ko baka may memo of understanding silang mga MA from DIAC regarding this, im just trusting the MA's word for it kasi ilang beses ko yun raise up sa kanya and he confidently said na we have until June 25. Im researching din online kung may basis ba yung sinasabi nung MA for my peace din, have't seen any so far? What do you think?

Ive got all the requirements ready na for SS application, yung IELTS na lang talaga ang kulang 🙁

@baronann - congratulations and goodluck sa IELTS.. concentrate ka muna dyan and dont worry muna on the deadlines.. pag okay na yan.. mabilis na lahat...

meron naman sgurong transition period ang mga SS.. may nabasa ako na parang extended ang validity ng state sponsorship nila.. at even after applying sa Skill Select, eh automatic na invited na sila to apply.. dahil nga complete na lahat.. IELTS, skills assessment and SS... but we need to verify this as we get closer to Jul1..

@lock_code2004 thanks po for the vouch of confidence. Yan din ang explanation ng MA sa akin, plus they are thinking also na since positive ang binigay na assessment ng AIM, it means our skill is still possibly included in the SOL List.....

Sabi ng MA, siguradong maaabutan kami ng new rule, ang critical part lang for us is the SOL List, so ipapanalangin ko talaga na nandun pa rin kami kasi if not sayang binayad namin sa AIM ($650 din yun). Per i believe na may basis yung sinasabi nung MA plus syempre i have faith in God.

So you are right, one step at a time... so IELTS muna

Im still relying dun sa explanation ng MA, although im checking the immi.gov.au website and wala akong makita na articles na magsusuport dun sa statement nya na pwedeng ihabol basta mai-file and DIAC application by June 25. Just the same, hinanda ko na yung loob ko na aabutan na nga ng new rule- praying hard lang na yung skill namin nandun pa rin sa new SOL List otherwise, down the drain lahat ng pinaghirapan (and gastos!!) namin.

@baronann- here is the explanation of SA for the approved SS before July 2012. Hopefully applicable ito sa lahat ng states.. so incase maabutan ng skill select pero may approved SS na, automatic na ang nomination to apply sa DIAC.

For Approved state sponsorship applicants 1/5/2012 – 28/6/2012

If you are unable to lodge your visa application and advise Immigration SA by close of business Friday 29 June 2012 then you will need to lodge an Expression of Interest (EOI) through DIAC’s new SkillSelect system before your 60 day sponsorship deadline expires.

In the EOI please choose "SA" only and the relevant state sponsored visa subclass. Within 5 business days of lodging your EOI, you will need to email your EOI ID and lodgement date (please include your Immigration SA reference number in the email) to gsm.sa@sa.gov.au. Once the EOI ID is received, Immigration SA will then nominate you through the SkillSelect system.

For Approved state sponsorship applicants from 1 July 2012

All state sponsorship applications approved after 1 July 2012 will need to lodge an Expression of Interest (EOI) through SkillSelect. This applies to all GSM state sponsorship visa subclasses, including onshore students. Applicants who would have previously lodged under visa subclasses of 886/487 (onshore) and 176 / 475 (offshore) will need to lodge an EOI under the new 190 (permanent) or 489 (provisional) visa subclasses.

Once an applicant is approved state sponsorship and has lodged an EOI under one of the new visa subclasses & met DIAC’s requirements, they will be nominated by Immigration SA through SkillSelect and invited to lodge a visa application with DIAC. There is expected to be minimal changes to state sponsorship procedures.

@lock_code2004 thanks for this info po, so may basis naman pala yung advise ni MA sa amin.. I wonder if this is also applicable for WA kasi plan namin we will apply to both states. Ang tagal nga ng June 8, parang gusto ko hilahin ang calendar, hehe
