NBI Clearance Application from abroad

For those based outside the Philippines like me, here's the procedure to apply for NBI Clearance. Nag-email kasi ako sa NBI asking them kung possible mag-apply ng NBI clearance without flying back to pinas.

Here's their reply:

Good Day,

NBI clearance is now processing under it's new system. All applicants are

treated as new. Please secure and accomplish NBI form 5 at the Philipppine

Consulate General Office where you are. Attach your latest 2x2 photo.

Mail to:

MS. JULIE MACALIT

Mailed Clearance Section

National Bureau of Investigation

Taft Ave., Ermita Manila 1000

Enclose Money Order in the amount of Php200.00 Philippine currency or bank

draft which is negotiable in the Philippines payable to the NBI Director.

The following accredited banks are:

Philippine National Bank (PNB)

Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank Co. (HSBC)

ANZ (A New Zealand Bank)

Metrobank

Bank of the Philippine Islands(BPI)

NBI will mail to you the corresponding clearance certificate after it has

processed your application papers. Processing of application normally

takes a maximum(5) days excluding days of transit.

If mailed to a relative/friend in the Philippines, attached an

authorization letter authorizing him/her to transact in your behalf, a

photocopy of your passport, and an old nbi clearance for references. Tell

them to proceed to the above mentioned address for further assistance.

Hello @hotshot, how did it go sa NBI clearance mo? Na-send mo na ba kay Ms. Julie Macalit NBI mo? Could I also have her email id please? I'll be sending our NBI clearance (notarized) this week. Thanks!

hindi pa po ako kumukuha ng NBI clearance e. nag-inquire lang ako via email para alam ko na options ko when it's time to get it. eto po yung email add na sinendan ko: nbiclearance@nbi.gov.ph. 🙂

Thank you for this @hotshot, although I am slightly confused, do we just write NBI Director on the bank draft?

yung hubby ko po hindi na nag punta ng consul first nag request po kme ng form5 sa email po, then sinend po ng consul sa haws nila fill up nila with police then send po sa console pag may finger print na then send back po ulit ng consul sa knila,.tas sila send po nila dito sa pinas pwedeng sa relatives pwede ding direkta na sa NBI taft 🙂

Meron po ba may alam ng link to download NBI Form5? any tips/suggestions?

The instruction says you can get this from the nearest consulate, panu kung walang malapit na consulate sa area? dito sa US, hindi lahat ng state may consulate..kailangan pang lumipad sa LA or Chicago or NY?

@lock wala po downloadable na form 5, orig po talaga xa from cosul, try to email po,.ung hubby ko po email lang,tas sinend na sa haws nila yung form 🙂

@mokona - thanks.. yes i did that today.. tinawagan ako ng embassy dito at i mail daw nila.. nakaktawa lang kasi may bayad pa ang form.. jologs tlaga..

@lock_code2004 : baka ang bayad po e for the mailing service and not necessarily for the form. dito sa sg kasi kumuha ako ng form5 sa embassy...wala naman po bayad. sila din kumuha ng fingerprints ko...wala pong siningil.

@hotshot - oo nga.. tapos may additional 25usd for authentication daw..

so eto ang process for NBI application sa mga states na walang consular office sa US.

1) mail nila ang form sa akin

2) fill-up form and fingerprint sa local police (may bayad din ito dito)

3) mail ko sa knila

4) authenticate nila

5) mail nila ulit sa akin

6) mail ko sa NBI directly or to my relatives sa pinas..

ang haba ng distance travelled ng NBI form diba.. haha..

Anong correct postal address ung Nbi form n i post m s pinas.

At paano m kukunin ung bank draft n 200 pesos?

Ung 45aud ay s authentication lng dun s phi consulate?

So ung nbi clearance ipapaddala b d2 s Australia?

Reply to @hotshot: Kumuha ka na ng form? Hindi ko alam meron den pala nyan dito sa sg. Kala ko middle east lang :p ... Tawagan ko nga embassy para sa process na yan.. Kala ko kelangan ko pa umuwi pinas... 😃

NBI Clearance building United Nation Avenue, Ermita Manila phil 1000, jan niopo imemail if gusto nio direct pero pwede din po sa relatives,.

ung hubby ko po kasi sa post lang po xa nag papa money order,.

yup ung 45aud is for authentication po,.pag mail po pabalik from consol ang marereceived nio ay red ribbon na po,.

and oo din po,.ipapadala po ulit jan sa austalia ng NBI,. 🙂cheers

@hotshot - in my case, they will authenticate my application form and ung fingerprint ko,

kasi nga di nmn ako nagpakita sa consulate nung nag fingerprint ako..

so i guess dahil sa consulate ka kmuha ng form and nagpafingerprint, hindi na kailangan i authenticate...

please validate also..
