Hi po, help naman 🙁 I need to get 79 to all components. Natakot ako sa IELTS kaya nag switch ako sa PTE. I took 2 mock tests na pero bagsak ako sa oral fluency and pronunciation. I don't know what I am doing wrong, because I think I am not so bad in speaking in english. Besides, sobrang baba naman yata yung 35 sa fluency. Could it be a problem with the mic? Any suggestion as to the hardware to be used? I feel desperate na. Yung speaking na lang talaga yung sablay.

Sa mga nakapag take na and mataas ang score, can I hear a recording? I need a model to know what I'm doing wrong. Thanks

@ferranjenni try mo gumamit ng headset. Ganyan rin prob ko dati, sa mock test. 52 score ko using internal mic, naging 76 yung speaking score ko nung nag headset ako.. try mo 🙂

Though, mock test lang yan ah. Di ko pa nagagawa sa tunay na buhay hehe

@batman sana nga.pero pag nag e exam na talaga feeling ako parang nwwindang ako e.hahha biglang parang naglalaho ang inaral ko hahah super kaba ata haha

@vanessajoy inhale exhale ka lang before the exam. pag kinabahan few minutes before the exam I todo mo na kaba mo para ma release at maubos na hehe

Hello Guys! I'm planning to take PTE Exam this coming April. Any tips? Anyone who bought the "PREPARATION PACKAGE" in the PTE site? What's the best choice in your opinion?

@jemusu I bought gold kit during my time. Helps to get familiarize with the type of test and structure.

Huhu... I took my exam today and i got the results na. I needed above 79 sa lahat. I got 90 80 72 90.. 72 sa speaking. Pwede ko ba iappeal yan or do i need to retake talaga? Nakakafrustrate. Konti na lang sana. 🙁

@joyee I know how you feel. Nag take 2 din ako, and I missed the 79 mark by just a point on my first take. I advise na you take it na Lang ulit. Pero ask others din. I think pag nag 70 or up score mo sa speaking, Baka mahirap na pa remark yan. Good luck. And don't worry about it, normal ang more than one take. Plus look at the bright side, matataas scores mo

Hello. May same problem ako sa speaking. 70-80 ang scores ko sa L, R and W. Pero pagdating sa speaking, 59. Sobrang baba ng pronunciation ko. Hindi kaya problem na sa system ng PTE iyon? Parang nakakawalang gana naman na magtatake ulit pero ibabagsak pa din sa pronunciation. Naka 7 naman ako sa ielts sa speaking.

Thanks @xiaolico ... Im planning to retake by march. Ano ginawa mo to increase your score? Ang sakit lang kasi sa heart. Magastos mgtravel from dvo to manila for the exam.

Ako nga rin 7 sa ielts @EverythingisAUsome . Mas mataas din speaking ko sa mock test. I thought sa reading ako magkakaproblema since dun ako nahirapan. Hindi kaya affected ang rating sa sound ng paligid? Ang ingay kasi ng katabi ko. Hahaha

@joyee actually wala naman. Habol Ko Kasi nung una is 60 total points Lang. I got it naman, kaso ang bagal ng ITA. So I decided to take the exam again and try to get 79 sa lahat to get 70 points total. Yun naka chamba naman. Problem Ko nung una is reading, so what I did, inubos Ko Oras dun. As in triple check per number before going to the next one. Muntik naman ako sumabit sa writing hehe buti Sakto naman 79. I guess ang mapapayo Ko Lang sa yo, Ganito. Hanap ka ng kaibigan. Google a picture of a graph or pie chart. Try mo explain in English sa friend mo. Then check mo if Kaya Niya drawing yung picture by just using your explanation. Or if Kaya, from this day until your exam, mag English only talk ka sa bahay. may mga nag bigay din ng script dito sa thread Na to. Try mo to memorize it.

@joyee by the way, yeah Mabigat talaga sa bulsa. But you have to trust yourself Na Kaya mo to. Investment din siya, for future gain not naman for present gain. Yung kasabay Ko sa exam, 5th take Na Niya. Nakuha naman Niya sa 5th take. Hirap Lang Kasi bibiyahe ka pa. Saan ka pa ba nahirapan? I nadalian ka? Yung testing room, Na distract ka ba? O wala naman? The headset and mic, Sanay ka naman gumamit nun?

May bearing po ba ung speaker na ginagamit pag sa speaking, I am using an ordinary earphone for my pte reviewer and naobserve ko na ampanget ng recording lalo na pag sa letter S.

Nagtake pati ako ng mock test and napansin ko na mababa lagi nakukuha ko sa oral fluency and pronunciation. Maayos naman pananalita ko.

Need help po. Thank u.

@xiaolico yung sa writing and listening almost the same lang sa ielts so di ako masyado nahirapan dun. Reading and speaking talaga problema ko. Even sa mock tests. Dun ako below 79. And medjo nanibago ako sa testing center. I read from here na pwede ka madistract sa katabi mo but naexperience ko first hand and medjo naannoy talaga ako kasi ang lakaaaaasssss ng boses. Haaay...

@joyee sa testing area, para iwas distraction, arrive early. Madalas maaga naman daw sila nag papastart. Para kaunti pa tao when you start the speaking part. If di Kaya, arrive 10mins late. Safe pa yan, makakapag exam ka pa din. Para when you start your speaking test, marami sa kanila tapos na. If you decide to arrive early, bilisan mo yung testing part. Anyway alam mo na yung instructions since nakita mo na yan before. Try mo na unahan sila sa speaking part. Just make sure you test your headset ha. Anong part ka sa reading hirap? Sa speaking, sa repeat sentence, ok naman? Describe image ba problem?

@xiaolico napansin ko nga kanina. Pagdating ko nagsimula na yung iba. Akala ko sabay2. Aagahan ko next take. Sa reading yung sa fill in the blanks na may dropdown menu. Yung sa test ko kanina mahirap since parang applicable yung mga words. Sa pag.arrang din ng sentences kanina medjo confusing since wala masyadong mga cue words. Sa speaking naman describe image problem ko. I think din baka naapektuhan yung grade ko kasi hindi ko nafollow exactly yung intonation sa repeat sentence and may part sa read aloud na nagstutter ako but once lang.

@joyee sa reading, hirap na hirap din kasi ako dito. Suggestion ko Lang talaga, triple check mo. If 15mins yung allowed time, tas 3 numbers, spend 5mins per number. Sa arrange sentences, ganun din. Honestly yan Lang talaga ginawa ko. Mahina ako diyan. Sa read aloud naman, read it aloud naman, read it one time sa utak mo. I think you are given a few seconds before they record your voice. Sa repeat sentence, wag mo na intindihin yung intonation. Try to remember as many words as you can. Then say it, kahit Hindi mo mabuo yung sentence and use your normal accent. Basta try mo to get as many words as you can, kahit Hindi same yung order. Sa describe image, yung sinabi ko kanina 🙂
