Hello po, ask ko lang if there’s anyone in here have experienced this, nag take ako ng exam yesterday, 5 Dec, sa Pearson, around 12noon. When i checked my account (as attached) yung exam history ko delivery successful ang status instead taken, tapos yung view score reports (though i know i need to wait for atleast 5days) hindi naka record yung exam ko yesterday. Shall i contact pearson na ba? Thank you po.

@steven ginamit ko lang yung mga templates na nakita ko dito sa thread, pinaghalo halo ko then practice hanggang masanay ako. sundin mo lang yung structure na introduction, body, conclusion.

Intro:

These days, there is a continuing discussion about (paraphrase the topic). While there are people who think that (paraphrase 1st Statement), there are others who believe that (paraphrase 2nd statement). In my point of view, (state your opinion). In this essay, I will explain my opinion and provide analysis on both sides of the statement.

Body:

There are people who think that (1st statement). One of the reasons is (state your 1st reason). It may also (state your 2nd reason). Thus/hence, (state the result)

On the other hand, there are people who believe that (2nd statement). One of the reasons is (state 1st reason). In addition, (state 2nd reason). As such, (state result).

Conclusion:

In conclusion, (discuss your opinion and provide ending statement).

*please take note lang din na this may not be the case sa lahat ng topic na ibibigay. As you practice, mapapansin mo na magkakaron ka ng sarili mong style ng pagsulat ng essay.

ask ko lang po kung 2:15pm ung sched ng exam pde po b pumunta dun ng 1:30 na tpos wag muna magstart ng exam kahit nsa booth ka na? balak ko po kasi paunahin muna ung mga katabi ko pra hindi po maingay sa read aloud ko.

Based sa experience ko, sabay sabay lahat ng candidate pag pasok ng room at sa designated booth. Pwede ka mag punta nang maaga pero hindi ka papapasukin.

@ali0522 in humble my opinion, if gusto mo late mag start ng read aloud, aim mo yung last number, I think #30 yun, from there ikaw ang huling papasok sa testing room though may makakasabay ka pa ring nagsasalita pero onti na lng since nasa SWT na karamihan, pero I suggest yung #1 targetin mo para ikaw ang kauna-unahang mag read aloud habang papasok pa lng yung iba. 🙂

@JuanaMariana yup, same thing happened to me. Iba na status na nilalagay ni pearson instead na "Taken" gaya dati, "Delivery Successful" na if di pa narerelease yung scorecard, once na narelease na magiging "Taken" na dapat yung status nyan at lilitaw na sa history mo.

@ali0522 actually, nagpahuli din ako nung last 2 takes ko, nasa test center na ko then kunwari binabasa ko maigi ung guidelines until nasa 28 na ung number (favorite number ko kasi.LOL) then sa room, 3 nalang kami halos nagsasalita. Less distraction pero nakakaconcious din at the same time kasi parang nakakaistorbo ako sa iba. Basta stay focus and kausapin mo sarili mo na you have to do well in the exam. "Kaya mo yan (your name)" always encourage yourself 🙂

@iamabcd bro try mo gumamit ng magandang klase na headset.kasi dti sobrang baba tlga ng score ko sa mock test pero after ko magpalit ng headset at practice din perfect nmn n ung speaking.

thank you po sa advice @ClmOptimist @Supersaiyan , kiankabahan po ako, sobrang nakkadepressed po kasi after nung first take ko 74 lng po overall score ko akala ko mataas kasi nagreview center nman po ako, yung katabi ko kasi last time sobrang lakas ng boses parang sumisigaw n sya. mas malakas pa ata boses nya saken. r

@ali0522 normal lang yan. ganyan din kami naramdaman ng lahat ng bumagsak dito pero bumangon at dinurog ang PTE exam. haha. Kaya mo yan. Susuka pero di susuko 🙂

I just reviewed by myself with the help of free E2 videos sa YouTube, lalo na yung mga mock tests. May mga methods/formulas/structures na will be helpful sa test.

Small tips based on my experience (Took the test twice: Proficient, then Superior):

Speaking: Practice speaking words in English. Don't fuss too much about grammar. During both of my tests, barok na barok yung grammar ko kasi kabado. I both scored 90 sa speaking on both of my tests, parehong kabado at utal utal yung pagsasalita ko non. I just made sure na na eexpress ko pa rin yung main thoughts/ideas ng sentences ko.

Reading: Toughest portion dahil sa negative markings. Follow strategies, and play safe pag may negative markings. This is the only portion in the exams na sinagad ko yata yung time ko, so I suggest you take your time in answering questions here as well.

Writing: Not hard to do, but hard to get a good score on in my opinion, kasi subjective ang scoring. For people like me na madaling maubusan ng ideas sa mga essay, I simply followed E2's tips on structuring your essay---- maguulit at rephrase ka lang ng ideas at di gaanong magiintroduce ng bagong ideas. Medyo cheesy (meaning it will help you in the test, but won't immensely improve your English skills), but they do work. As long they work, wala na ako pake.

Listening: Easiest part based sa exp ko, as long as you're familiar with some very common complex English words, then you are good to go. If not, then there's no way around it. You just have to read and learn more English words.

@monlim i'll try to answer your question based on my experience. kahit hindi argumentative yung tanong, same template lang gamit ko. ginagawa ko pa ding argumentative yung essay ko. may nabasa din akong ganitong style before nakalimutan ko lang kung saan.

I took PTE exam last Dec 5. and kinapos pa din ung score ko to obtain Superior.

Pa advice naman kong anong kailngan pang e focus sa L, R, W.. Thank you in advance!.
