How to convert PH Driver's License to AU Driver's License?

forumers, sino po ma recommend nyo na instructor sa WA? I can drive, pero hndi pa po magaling..

Not sure kung may nakapag-post na ng case similar to mine: I've had my Ph DL since 2006 (pero ang receipt na hawak ko is from 2008, at hindi ako kumuha ng LTO certification nung nagbakasyon ako kase nawala sa isip ko!), and I also have an Sg DL pero less than one year pa lang sya valid.

If I convert my Sg licence, will they still look at my Ph licence and possibly issue me a full licence (para skip na yung L or P) based on the fact that I've been driving since 2006?
Kung kelangan talaga yung LTO cert to prove how long I've been driving, may nakasubok na ba kumuha nito online?

@cholle ung husband ko po 2009 issued ung PH license. Then converted to SG license on Feb 2014. Last June 2014, he was issued a full WA license, eye test lang ni require.

Pero initially the officer said na P license lang pde iissue sa kanya kc 2014 lang SG license nya, but my husband reasoned out na 2009 pa sya holder sa Pinas. Pumayag nman na full license na ibigay sa kanya

Hi @rei_ya, si Fame ang driving instructor ko. $50 per hour din sa kanya. Magaling sya magturo though wala akong comparison sa iba kasi di naman ako nagtry ng ibang instructor. Eto pala HP number nya. +61417492631.

@rei_ya hello...hinde pa ako nag dridriving lessons...though gusto ko rin pero one hour lang! haha (Kuripot lang)

ang dilemma ko kase now is, after nung theory exam ko, e wala naman booking ng PDA at March 2015 pa daw ang available... :-(

@cholle i was able to convert to full license even if my Sg license is almost 3 mos pa lang. The officer didn't even bother to see my Ph DL and LTO cert. Di na daw kelangan.

'Was just wondering how were you able to get Sg license without LTO cert? Kase sa Sg DL conversion they require such.

@manofsteel just showed the auntie nung nag convert ako an old receipt from a previous registration. Medyo blur yung auntie and just took my word for it. Pero totoo naman kasing matagal na akong nagdadrive hehe

2 months palang kami dito sa OZ (vic) and kung maglearners exam na ako and mabubutasan/cancel ung PH DL ko.. I might as well do the learners exam on our 4th month here para makapagpractice pa ako since kabibili lng namin ng used car. Anyone can confirm this? Thanks.

3 months valid nag phil drivers license.

Once mag exam ka at bumagsak ka. Hindi ka na pwede mag drive using your Phil drivers license. Kailangan mo na kumuha ng Learners license para maka pag practice mag drive. Then mag practical driving to get your full license (if you meet the years of having full drivers license).

Mag sama ka ng kakilala mo na marunong mag drive, technically hindi mo na pwedeng i drive yung kotse mo magisa pauwi kung bumagsak ka sa exam.

Once you have your learner license, hindi ka pwedeng mag drive na wlang kasama na full license.

@atchino / @gilberttkd: first and foremost, you need to take note that VIC rules are different from NSW rules when it comes to licenses...

Unang una, 6 months ka eligible to drive here in VIC before you need to get a license.

Pangalawa, kung bumagsak ka actual driving, pwedeng pwede ka pa rin mag-drive dito with your PH license as long as you are within 6 months above. - bumagsak ako sa first try ko, drive pa rin though as I was still on 4th month when that happened.

Pangatlo, where did you heard about bubutasan ang PH license mo? Nope, it will not be destroyed.

@dhey_almigthy, I was able to booked for the PDA scheduled on Monday afternoon in Kelmscott. Ang problema malayo pala yun at dko naalala na kelangan pala may dalang sariling sasakyan. Wala rin akong idea sa lugar, never been anywhere near that place. Baka pasyalan namin bukas at makapagpractice na rin kung may mahahatak. Sana lang talaga maipasa ko ito in one shot, compassionate din daw mga assessors dun.

Sabi kasi ng kasama ko sa haws, binutasan daw ung PH license nya nung kumuha na cya ng learners exam, tapos hnd na pwede magdrive alone.

Ang plan ko kasi ay maglearner at hazard exam na ngaun (on our 2nd month here in VIC) then practice driving alone (take note alone) for 2 months. tapos sa 4th month namin dito tsaka ako kukuha ng actual driving test. I'm have my PH driver license since 2007.

uhm, can someone clear this one...nakapag theory exam na ako...then wala nga daw sched ng PDA dito sa WA at sa March 2015 pa daw ang available pero binigyan ako ng number na tawagan ko daw to try to book for PDA...

uhm, im trying to book PDA online pero hinihingan ako ng drivers license / permit number?! e wala nga ako nun?! paano yun?! paano ako magpapa book online?!

I seriously doubt binutas talaga... Sino ang tanga na gagawa niyan diba? That is a valid government identification. 🙂

Anyhow, what happen to me pre was I took the theory exams within my 6 months and the Vicroads personnel asked if I want to apply for a learners permit, ang mangyayari is that is mag-apply ako, I can no longer drive on my own as my 6-months driving permit will be invalidated.

So ayun, I didn't get a learners na... I took a actual driving, bagsak pero cge drive pa rin. Took the 2nd actual driving and pumasa na.

I got a full license within getting a learners. I just took all 3 required exams (theory, hazard percerption and actual).

TasBurrfoot is right, hindi binubutas ang PH license, I took my learner and hazard test at hindi binutas ang PH license ko. I pass my actual driving test at hindi pa rin binutas PH license ko.
