How to convert PH Driver's License to AU Driver's License?

first, get ph DL, then upon entry sa oz, within 3 months e need mo na ng Au DL, im assuming na PR ka na pagpasok mo ng oz...

need mo kumuha ng theory exam sa DOT, after mong makapasa sa theory exam e magpapa book ka na ng practical test sa DOT mismo, right after the theory exam...ipapakita mo ung ph DL mo sa kanila at mga documents to prove ur identity...then pwede ka na magpractical exam...

take note na within 3 months e need mo na iconvert ung ph DL mo or else e hinde ka na pwede magdrive...though marami rin naman pinoy na nagdridrive pa rin kahit hinde pa converted ung ph DL nila...hehehe

ung # 2 hehe.... wala namang restriction na within 3 months ka lang pwede kumuha ng theory exam. Anytime pwede. Basta take note mo lang yung expiration ng DL mo 🙂

hi @dhey_almighty, iba na yung process dito sa SA. Wala na yung 3 months na restriction 🙂

Theory Exam and then mabbigyan ka permit to drive for 1 year.

Then bago mag 1 year need mo mag Actual Exam and take the Hazard Perception Test.

So sa mga wala pang DL and may chance pa na makauwi sa Pinas, the steps are:

Get DL sa Pinas either pro or non-pro.
Once nasa Au na & hindi pa expire and Pinas DL, take theory exam kahit wala pang own sasakyan (no work/adjustment mode pa 🙂 )
After theory exam, my Pinas DL will be converted to Au non-pro DL kahit wala pa din akong own car and good for 1 year ang DL na'to.

Once passed #4, then I'll have my Au Pro DL na

Hi @peach17, pa-share naman po kung san galing yun info na wala na yun 3mos requirement. Kase some of my friends here are saying na need na magtake agad ng exam at kumuha ng DL within 3 mos pagdating dito for PRs. And that is the same info posted in SA Gov site, which I pasted below. TIA.

Hello, own experience po... not sure kung yung nabasa nyo eh for Permanent Resident Visa holders or for working visa? d ko lang sure kung same yun sa working visa.

pero lahat kami ng mga pinoy friends ko (PR Visa) na dumating dito ng 2013 ganun.... ung permit ko mag eexpire this August 2015. Took the exam last year AUgust 2014.

Once passed #4, then u'll have Au full driver's licence. congrats!

Hi, mukhang for working visa or temporary resident yun, updated daw kase yun site ng SA sabi ng servicesSA officer, for PR within 3mos dapat makaapply na ng state DL.

Ako po with pinas DL din. Arrived april 2014, took theory test july 2014. They gave me 1 year palugit to take VORT na maexpire july 2015.

baka nga for working visa yun.

kasi kami, wala na yung 3 months na rule.

PR kami. nagtake kami theory exam last year. and meron kami 1 year permit to drive 🙂
