How to convert PH Driver's License to AU Driver's License?

visa label (buti na lang nagpavisa label ako), pag wala daw kasi nito kailangan pa nilang i verify sa DIAC and at pababalikin pa ako after few mins/hours..
medicare card
bank card (atm)
proof of address (buti na lang nagpaprint ako ng bank statement nung pinapalitan ko address ko from SYD to Perth)

so dahil meron ako nyan lahat, pina-basa lang ako for the eye check, picture and then thats it..

done in 15minutes... eto ang fee 39aud for 1 year, or 125aud for 5 yrs..</blockquote>

Question for those na newly wed. Maiden name padin ba yung sa phil drivers license nyo o pinachange nyo na before kayo pumuntang oz?diba you have to get a certificate from our lto kung ilang years kana nagdrive?counted na yung years nung single kapa?

your license number will contain the yr as to when the license was issued; having said that malalaman dito sa australia as to how long you have been driving just by looking at the license.

Change status? As in maiden name to married name?

As far as I know, you will still retain your original license number... 🙂 Hence it will still reflect the year as to when you first got your license.

Hi All,

Eto nakita ko na ang thread na hinahanap ko.

Question lang po, ano kaya ang option na puede ko gawin sa case ko.

2mths ago nakuha ko na ang Non-Pro license ko from Phils coming from a 1 year Student License, di po talaga ako nag dra-drive ng kotse even sa Pinas or even here sa SG mostly drive drive lang para aralin lang.

Andito pa po ako sa SG, puede pa kaya ako kumuha ng driver's license dito considering plan na po namin mag OZ by early next year, or diretso na sa OZ na lang kumuha...... with my License parang magiging useless na sya sa OZ, start from the very basic ako.

You can check requirements in Singapore pero I think kailangan mo ng at least 1 yr na license so that you can sit down in an exam to convert into an SG License...

Worth a shot but don't count on it too much.

yes bossing nabasa ko sa PSG ang requirements, mukhang student or learner din ang bagsak ko dito sa SG so after a year saka lang makukuha ang SG License which is nasa OZ na kami if ever, pero kugn itutuloy ko willing naman ako bumalik ng SG to get the license tapos saka ako mag apply sa OZ...medyo matagal hehehe

Kung mag start ako from Zero sa OZ (mahirap daw eh) hahahahah

Oh okay, Nice info eto pa nman ang isa sa mga iniisip ko na gawin. Which is tama din kasi wala na nga naman ako EP, and hindi ako resident tourist na ang labas ko nun.

Different states have different rates sa mga exams... So you may check individually as to which state may be applicable for you.

As to driving lessons naman; it is like $35-50/hr of practice; if you want naman the instructor to go with you at the time of actual drive test, it will be around $150-200..

@JCsantos : Is it required to go through a driving school? Or is it required to have a minimum number of hours of schooling/practice to get a license?

Because here in Singapore, you need to pass a series of lessons in order to qualify for the driving test. And the lessons are a prerequisite to the next lesson. So if you fail one session/lesson, you have to retake it until you pass or you won't move to the next step.

Total cost if you don't fail any lessons will be around SGD 2500.

You need to have a minimum number of hours when you are less than ?? age ( im not sure )

for NSW process you need to have a DKT first ( computerized exam ) if you pass you get to have a Learners license

for a full license you need to sit for actual driving test

If for instance you have your ph license for 3 years they will give you a full Australian license but if not you will be given a red P license ( PROBATION)

Yes for question 1 and 2

Learners lang po ang kailangan na accompanied by a driver with a full license

For red P and green P license holder they can drive un-accompanied but a few restriction like must be 0 level on alcohol limit or limited number of passenger ( Full License holder can do .002 alcohol limit ) and etc etc ( read the RTA website for restriction )

@legato09 Mostly kasi sa pinas, you can get ur license kahit na hindi ka man lang nakahawak ng manibela ha ha ha. Seriously speaking, if u intend to get a driving license here in SG, better to start as learner kasi hindi ka naman pala talaga nag drive sa pinas eh. Driving license is more than a certificate to drive but your safety is on the line kaya need mong mag practice. If you're going to Ausie shortly, u dont need to spend time obtaining license in SG kasi kahit makakuha ka ng license sa SG (but less than 12 months pa lang) pagdating mo sa ausie, you still need to pass the theory test & practical test. Pareho kasi kayo ng status ng esmi ko eh, she's attending driving lesson here in SG not for the purpose of obtaining SG license but to familiarize on driving only, then saka na lang sya mag lesson ulit sa ausie pagdating nila by Nov. this year. FYI, do you know na pag may SG driving license ka (u get it for more than a year), exempted ka sa theory and practical test sa australia. Its merely conversion kasi Singapore is one of the recognized country ng Australia na nag cocomply sa standard nila in getting driving license (sadly, hindi recognized ang pinas kasi nga like i what i joked about, u can have that even without touching the steering wheel).
