How to convert PH Driver's License to AU Driver's License?

Hello po! manghihingi lang po ako ng tulong. Under 457 work visa po kasi ako, and based po sa mga nabasa ko, pwede po mag-drive sa AU kapag meron Phil. License.

Kaso po, wala po ako phil. license, meron po ako dati student license pero matagal na po yun at di ko napa-change sa Non-Pro license kasi po nagpunta na po kami sa SG. Ang plan ko po sana is kukuha na lang ako AU license sa Victoria. Meron po ba members dito na wala po license sa Pinas at deretso na kumuha sa AU? Nagtanong po kasi ako sa Pinas kung pwede po makakuha ng license ng rush (1 wk lang po ako uuwi), ang bayad daw po ay PhP10K. Naisip ko po, sa AU na ako kukuha mismo kasi mahal po yun sa Pinas. Salamat po.

Ang rules po kasi sa Pinas ngayon ay pag kumuha ng student license, after 1 month pa daw po pwede makakuha ng full driver's license. kaya nga po, medyo alanganin na po ako makakuha ng license. Si hubby din po kasi wala din license sa pinas. Hays, bahala na po. Try na lang po namin magtsek pag-uwi po namin sa Pinas. Maraming salamat po 🙂

Just got pass my actual driving test yesterday; kahit na more than 10yrs of driving experience ako, it was the most excruciating 45 minutes drive in my life. I committed 3 minor errors which were:

(1) Head check, kulang daw

(2) Gap selection

(3) Slow driver - I was very careful on this as I did not want to be overspeeding

All in all, happy!! 🙂 This was my 2nd exam, I flucked the 1st one...

Hi, May I ask if a Motorcycle License is treated the same in terms of conversion from other contries' CAR Driver's license to AU license?

@btarroja213 - if you go to WA transport website, generic ang process of conversion license from recognized countries.. so it looks like this is for all classes of license..

Question naman po. Confirm ko lang... Kahit na may PH DL na eh need pa din ng theory at practical exam di ba. Ang di ko sure, bago ba magpractical exam, REQUIRED ba na magenroll ka sa mga driving school?

Nope hindi requirement ang mag-enrol ka sa mga driving school... Pero for my case, I took 2 lessons just for me to be able to get a crash course of the driving conditions here in Australia.

Ang problema kasi sa atin in Pinas, we have a lot of bad habits in driving. Hindi po kasi pwede yan when you take the actual driving exam. When you enrol in a drive school, it is a way na rin for you to be aware of these bad habit coz your instructor will point these out to you.

Actually, ako kasi nakapagpaconvert ng PH to SG license. Kaso si hubby hindi for technical reasons. So he is thinking if dito pa ba sya kuha ng license or jan na lang sa AU. Dito kasi required ka mag driving school. Di ko lang sure kung puede rin na crash course.

Singapore kailangan driving school? I thought exam lang if you have a valid PH DL?

Thanks. Yes, basic theory test lang ako. Then convert na agad.

Nagkaproblema kasi ung PH DL ni hubby. Hindi ni-honor ng SG traffic police dept. may technicalities sa issue date, kaya need daw undergo sya ng Full Cycle.

just would like to share.. meron silang points system sa identification, kaya eto ang hiningi sa akin ng WA tranport dept to convert my driving license from a recognised coutry..

valid license (from any recognised country example US, SG)
passport
visa label (buti na lang nagpavisa label ako), pag wala daw kasi nito kailangan pa nilang i verify sa DIAC and at pababalikin pa ako after few mins/hours..
medicare card
bank card (atm)
proof of address (buti na lang nagpaprint ako ng bank statement nung pinapalitan ko address ko from SYD to Perth)

so dahil meron ako nyan lahat, pina-basa lang ako for the eye check, picture and then thats it..

done in 15minutes... eto ang fee 39aud for 1 year, or 125aud for 5 yrs..
