EOI is a big joke.

In July, only 2.7 % were selected from 8,261 applicants. In August, 100 applicants were only chosen from the pool, with 75 points the lowest. More and more applications are coming into the pool every minute, and are automatically ranked accordingly. No wonder if one day, the lowest to be chosen are those with having 80 pts.

You may take this as a good news:

· 900 invitations for Skilled Independents (subclass 189), comprising 450 on 1 September and 450 on 15 September; and

· 100 invitations for the Skilled Regional (Family) Sponsored (subclass 489), comprising 50 on 1 September and 50 on 15 September.

question lang po ulit.may mga nakita kasi ako sa expatforum.com regarding dito sa EOI na parang meron cla option about visa type na inapply nila. for example ung isa nakita ko, sabi nya ang EOI nya ay 60points for visa 189 and 65 points for visa 190. is it possible to submit 2 EOIs?

Nothing is stopping you from making 2 EOI (using different emails) BUT what I don't know is whether there will be any negative repercussion on this moving forward... 🙂

@psychoboy thats is what im worrying about. lalo pa at marami ka ilalagay dun n parehong information. like IELTS, skill assessment tapos ung mismong identification m. kaya nagtataka lang ako kung ano magiging effect ng pag susubmit ng more than one EOI.

Hi wynx and psychoboy...You don't need to submit separate EOI for visa 189 and 190...

When you fill-in EOI, there is an option there what type of visas you can apply..Like in my case, I selected 189, 190 and 457 under one EOI...You will see your points for each visa subclass after completing it...190 will give you additional 5 points

SS. kasi im only planning to apply for SS after Sep 1. in case n wala p ako invitation. i filed kasi my EOI last july 1 for visa 189. til now im still waiting. kaya naisip ko to make a back up plan. 🙂

@wynx - 1 thing to consider (although I dunno what is the correct answer to this) - what will happen to your order of EOI (or your Visa Status date) if you change every once in a while. Will this edge out your visa status date?

As we all know, the earlier your visa status date, the more chances will you get your invitation... 🙂

Yes you can do edit your EOI, but not sure if the effective date of your EOI will be changed...

Ano pala occupation mo and how many points meron ka, required kase ang EOI before you submit SS application, need kase nila EOI reference number...I'm also thinking if I need to apply for SS, pero wait ko muna next rounds of invitation, maybe it's our turn na... :-h

@mark_y bale 65 points for visa 189. un din inaalala ko, once u made changes s EOI m, baka magbago din ng date of submission nya.

inaantay k rin ang next round of invitayion. sana ay time n rin natin.

@mark_y - bud is this for the 2nd round of invites?

I did some forecasting kanina during my free time - assuming na linear ang pattern ng mga applicant, 70 percent dapat pasok na for 2nd round and by 3rd round titirahin na ang may 65pts.

so please i need your advice again, do you think i should pending my SS application after 2nd round of invitation this Sept. or i can start with Victoria SS application as they don't need the EOI as reference right away. thanks.

@wynx Wow, same pala tau. I have 65 points. Sa palagay ko, pasok na tayo sa 15 Sep invitation since cut-off points now is 70 points... Kaya wait ka na lang muna till next round.

I hope nga na makukuha na ang 65 sa next round... 🙂 I have a feeling though that 1000 per month may not be the maximum they will issue. End of September sana mas irarampa pa nila yung pag-invite, maybe to around 3000 per month? 🙂 We will never know but sana so that mabibigyan tayo dito ng chance...

@wynx - go ahead with your VIC application, it doesn't need any EOI reference. mabagal kasi ang VIC eh. this way, if papalarin ka sa VIC, you will get your invite by November! 🙂

@mark_y ang galing naman. wala k b balak na mag apply ng SS? although im still have high hopes na sana nga ay masama na taung mga 65 pointers next round of invitation, dba dapat nagpaplano rin tau ng back up plan. specially, time is of the essence sa mga documents natin. may mga validity period lang. don't you think? 🙂

@wynx Naisip ko rin mag apply before ng SS..Nagsend kase sa ken ng email ang Queensland government requesting for few requirements para ma process ang SS nomination ko, pero dami need nila and may proof of fund pa which is my main problem... 🙂 Naisip ko kase na mataas ang ceiling for accountants, for sure IT jobs ang first na ma-reach ang ceiling...So we have a big chance to be invited given that we have 65 points...but as you said if you are expecting your points to reduce due to age or validity of docs like IELTS and qualifications assessments, then SS is the best option...When I checked kase requirements nila, they all require proof of funds kaya di ko na sya na consider....Well, these are just my thoughts, what do you think?
